I wonder if SD makes a qb splash given them trying to keep their team and Rivers getting older. If SD did go that route i wonder where jerrah goes w bosa vs ramsey. I like ramseys potential more and i see him having a pro bowl career similar to rod woodson moving to safety down the road and still being just as good.

5 years is a lifetime in the NFL.

It's also more about his salary than his production. It's the same reason Dallas had to cut Ware even though he was their best defensive player

Before Rex, Williams had has best years in Buffalo, imo. Rex didn't use him well. I mean, think about it, the team went from the best defense to almost the worst. They had Mario doing things he wasn't really comfortable with and while you can probably put some of that on him, you should also probably try to play to your team's strengths. I don't think he'll have a problem getting some good offers.

Re williams..rex has guys dropping into coverage a ton and mario didnt fit that defense. It will be good for both parties

Worth it for who is the question? I think it's worth it for us, he hasn't done it long enough to warrant the kind of deal he's likely asking for. We'll either get him cheaper after this season, or we'll be a hell of a lot more comfortable giving him a long term deal with big money.

Cousins doesn't mind either, he gets another year of knowing he's the guy, and a guaranteed ~$20M. Unless he's atrocious this year someone will give him a shot after this, even if it's not us (although in all likelihood it will be).

Burfict was on a talk show this morning. He opened up about what Joey Porter said to him. Joey Porter said "Man, I actually really respect your game". That's what Jones was so upset he threw a punch over a Ref's shoulder over. Amazing.

They're saying he's likely to get a permanent ban from the NFL which means he won't be eligible for HOF.
