Every running back in the league wants to have the Dallas offensive line right now. I don't see him being the special snowflake people want him to be.

I agree for the most part. Most people don't give Dallas any credit last year because their record was garbage but they were still the 9th best rushing team in the NFL last year with a couple of nobody's. That line is going to make average players good and good players great.

People don't give Buffalo any credit and they are the best rushing team in football. That's because rushing doesn't win in the NFL and sure as hell doesn't matter. Throw the ball or play exceptional defense, and you have the centerpiece for a championship team.

You have to do more than just throw the ball, ask the Denver Bronco's.

Not just anyone can do it though. Yes, McFadden had 1k yards after taking over as starter last year, but his running style runs counter to the team's preferred method, which is a zone run scheme. Someone actually went through and looked at all his runs and he did less than 3ypc on zone runs versus straight up power runs. Zeke is very good in the zone scheme, which is why he's seeing so much success. That and he's really good.

You still need at least the specter of a passing game, and Buffalo doesn't have that. They also don't have anyone behind McCoy worth a damn and if he goes out, the other team will make Tyrod beat them and he just can't. The sad part is that Buffalo is going to get saddled with his contract because he's playing well enough to justify keeping him.

Being able to move the ball between the 20's is easy in comparison to the red zone. Not being able to run, or run it into the end zone will cost you points and ultimately wins. Which is why when Dallas drafted Zeke I told y'all get used to seeing that man run into the end zone and don't draft Bailey in fantasy.

Redskins lost because they couldn't get in the end zone once they got into the red zone and not being able to run the ball. Which is what happened with Dallas last year, only they didn't have a passing attack.

Fun little rushing fact, Dak has run the ball only 8 times in the red zone this year, 5 TD. Dak also has as many rushing TD or more than the Bears, Rams, Giants, Bucs, Lions, Packers, Texans, and Jaguars in those 8 attempts.

You're in the NFL thread, so yes I educated you on why not just any RB can produce desired results behind that line. Desired results being rushing TDs and short yardage first downs, which they sucked at both last year.

I wonder how many bounties are out on offensive linemen right about now. Not that the NFL would approve of such as thing.

Probably why you had running by committee last year.

Also Martin is the best linemen on that line, not Frederick or Smith. In order best to worst Martin, Smith, Frederick, Leary/Collins, Free. Martin is going to be expensive, Leary will garner a high compensatory pick and we can't pay everyone plus we have his replacement in place on the cheap for 2 more years. Green balled out replacing Smith for 2 games, we have the replacement for Free as well and he can be the swing tackle if Smith is injured. Signing Martin is the key, Smith is on one of the most team friendly deals around and Frederick already got his extension.

Better look at it, had him by the ankle lifts the leg and then tries to twist his ankle off and clear as day intentionally stepped on his fingers in the other gif. I haven't even found the gif of Norman punching Dez on the Dak TD run out of bounds and after the play again right in front of the ref and they talked to both coaches.

Norman should have his dirty ass suspended.

The stepping on the finger thing looks way worse to me. I don't see a whole lot of "he's twisting his leg trying to put the ankle lock on him!" the way some nerds are trying to sell that (not here, elsewhere). I see that kind of dumb shit all the time with guys holding legs up in the air forcing guys to fall down or guys trying to rip balls out twisting arms 8 years after the whistles have blown.

The fingers thing just looks intentional as fuck in that gif, would like to know the story behind that and see a long vid of it.

I do know Dez came up and started talking shit to Norman after the game after Norman was shaking hands with another Cowboy and apologizing to him, said something about "where I come from, we empty the clip"...but I didn't think it was that big a deal, just usual trash talking.
