This makes me really want to try and make it to that game against Oakland in a couple weeks. Dangit.

One of the better games of the year, I have zero vested interest in either of these teams and I was on the edge of my seat most of the 4th quarter going forward.

So now the most obvious threat to Dallas' supremacy is their old foe... the Giants. That team reminds me of the Philly team from 2014, winning through smoke and mirrors (but still winning). Just too many close calls and late heroics. Still dangerous, especially with a banged up secondary but the hope is that the train keeps rolling through them. First up are the Vikings though, in their new playground. I expect that one to closely resemble the game against the Ravens. Should be fun either way.

Oakland's first winning season since the 2002 Superb Owl. That's seriously damned impressive and the Lich of Al Davis smiles happily from the bowels of the shithole that is the Oakland Coliseum.

Panthers figured out how to put points on the board... Don't let Cam throw it!

Black man in QB syndrome. Get that hype train going, then 15 years of hype dragging down teams. How long till he's traded to the eagles?

FTFY.

Honestly, Wentz is probably going to be solid for the Eagles for a good while. In the end the you are what your record says you are, but his receivers are garbage and moreso than any of his own flubs have directly lead to where they're at.

Dude's a flamethrower to receivers behind the line of scrimmage, though!

True. To be fair though, if they had the option of throwing down field to someone who could catch a ball reliably I think we'd see less of that. So they're pretty much left with a passing game plan that revolves around YAC, which is basically short throws over the middle and screen passes.

Rams' Jeff Fisher now three losses away from NFL infamy

Come on Fisher, you can do it!

This is probably the best part

After a 49-21 beatdown in New Orleans, Fisher became No. 2 all time on the NFL losses list for head coaches, surpassing Tom Landry (162 losses) in 81 fewer games

For historical context, Jeff Fisher has seven more losses in his career than Don Shula — and Fisher has coached 153 fewer games, roughly 10 full NFL seasons. That is some serious, efficient futility.

I'm assuming that ultimately Fisher's problem is that he has too much control over personnel, especially during the offseason when teams usually look to improve upon their deficiencies, right? I've never really paid too much attention to it outside of the memes.

You would think the owner would fire his ass before he makes the record. Wouldn't want that shit tied to any franchise I owned.

i really hope that the Browns go 0-16 so that my Lions are no longer the most recent team to do so

0-16 Browns, a single playoff win, and no GB in the playoffs (just because i hate them) would make my season.

So...do the 0-16 Lions pop champagne if the Browns do it too, or if the Browns win a game?
