How is it that in a year where the Browns are even more hopeless than usual, the Rams still looked worse than them?

And how will the Bills handle things? Do they really wait all the way to November 8th to fire Rex? And I can't imagine Rob stays, so they have to get rid of both of them? Has there been a midseason shake-up like that where the Head and one of the main Assistant Coaches leave on the same midseason day like that before?

Hue Jackson actually seems like a good coach that just ends up getting gigs with shitty ownership. Coaches like Rex Ryan and Jeff Fisher are living off the legacy of good results once or twice (Titans with McNair, Rex beat the Pats in a few critical spots).

Hopefully the Rams will get a new coach that is a new coach. Rampant nepotism in NFL circles is why shit coaches keep showing up and getting jobs. Hopefully Kroenke gets some balls and hires a first time coach with potential instead of a Joe Philbin or a Scott Linehan.

Hey look at that, last ranked passing game with same guys as last year doesn't work. Shocking.

Whelp, there is always next year.

Man, not even Redskins fans give up on the season this early! (nah jk wake me up when they fire Jay Gruden)

I am a Redskins fan and I fully expect we are going to get crushed tonight. Skins have not beat the Steelers in 25 years and our MNF record at Fedex is 2-14. Plus for the Steelers this is pretty much a home game. I expect the crowd will be about 70% Steelers fans.

Redskins are planning to give away burgundy towels in hopes that will make the crowd look like they are all waving burgundy and gold towels supporting the Redskins.

38-13 Steelers, but damn I hope I'm wrong.
Not bad

49ers-Rams was a lot more fun than I expected. I usually figure that preseason is a lie and maybe it still is but I saw the same things that I saw in preseason. The defense looks tough. They play disciplined and aggressive and clearly Navarro Bowman is the heart of that. It really looks like he has brought back the attitude of the defense that went to the super bowl a few years back even though he's pretty much the only player left from that team on D. I was worried about pass rush and the Rams don't have a great O-line but they got after the quarterback regularly with Brooks, Bowman, Reid, and even Armstead got a sack. Can't wait until Aaron Lynch gets back to compliment that group. The secondary wasn't tested too much but both Ward and Brock made plays. The 9ers D was totally ready for everything the Rams did, even if all they did was throw zero yard passes to Tayvon Austin all night and fail to run Gurley. They had better get Goff ready to play soon because Case Keenum sucks ass.

The Offense is not good but the o-line is very much improved as we saw in preseason. Hyde looks like he's back to his old self and Draughn had some good runs as well. Hyde is shifty and Draughn brings the muscle so they are a nice combo. Unfortunately they are going to be limited by the lack of a passing game. Gabbert seems to be nearly as effective running as Kaepernick and he clearly sees the field much better but he still makes throws that make you go "WTF was that?". Sometimes he makes very accurate throws into tight windows and then he will just put it in the dirt 2 yards behind his receiver on the next pass. Hopefully some of that is just first game jitters but we saw it in preseason too. Nothing that makes me want Kaep back though. It would help if he had some receivers to throw to as well. Vance Macdonald makes some plays and it seems like Kerley was a good pickup but aside from that we got jack shit from the receivers last night. Hyde tends to drop the ball receiving quite a bit as well.

SF was clearly the better coached team last night. Obviously the D completely shut down the Rams and the offense was unspectacular but managed to move the ball vs. the Rams vaunted front 7 in all but the 3rd quarter. SF also had only one penalty all night where the Rams had 185 yards total offense and 102 yards in penalties.

I'm sure we've got a dose of reality coming with road games at Carolina and Seattle in the next two weeks but I still don't think these 49ers are as bad as people projected them to be in the off season.

It's like they're taking their cues from Oregon.

Their current uniforms (dark blue with neon green) weren't my favorite, but they're acceptable now. Going all in on neon seems retarded though.

I do wonder about how much of an advantage/disadvantage it offers in a game though? On the one hand, it'd make receivers stand out for the QB. On the other though, your DB's and LB's are much easier to see for the opposing QB.

I have hated that neon green they added from the beginning. Anything neon is awful and belongs in the 80's.

Fisher must have blackmail on Kroenke. It pays to be represented by a Demoff when a Demoff is running the Rams I guess.

Also only Ryan could take a team like the Bills that seemed on the cusp of competing and drive them right into the dumpster.

I love Rex Ryan. I hope he stays in Buffalo for a decade.

The Rams should have suited up the security guards on D, they at least stopped something.........

The streaker was fast. The Rams should have hired him as receiver. He got more yardage than anyone on the Rams last night.

The Bengals TNF uniform this year is dope. Been waiting for a white tiger variation for years. Definitely going to purchase one. The orange outline around the player name looks a bit odd though.

Quote on NFL.com sums up my feelings.

"Thoughts: If only because Joe Flacco is going to look hilarious in this."

Steelers one looks dope as fuck tho. Nostalgia hits hard with those old school block numbers
