NFL GMs Laughing at Chargers for Ruining Bosa's Rookie Season

One General Manager speaking to Mike Freeman had this to say:

"If Joey Bosa ended his dispute tomorrow," said one NFC general manager, "he would barely get something from his rookie year. But it won't end tomorrow. It could be weeks. So effectively, the Chargers threw away the rookie year of their own high draft pick."

And Freeman summed up what people around the NFL told him thusly:

In speaking to people around the NFL, I've rarely seen such a unanimity on two fronts: 1) Bosa's rookie year is over, and 2) the Chargers are screwing this up.

I cannot stress this enough. Every team I speak to thinks the Chargers are ruining Bosa. They are laughing at the Chargers. Laughing at them.

"This is very Chargers," said one general manager.

Yeah, I mean honestly if I were Bosa, I would say fuck it and just re-enter the draft next year just to stick it to the Chargers. He's not going to drop out of the first round and at this point, his season is basically over anyway.

I think he absolutely would drop out of the first round with out a year on the field. I think it would cost millions and he should cave despite the Chargers bullshit. I mean if he does they are going to pay him first round money for a year they essentially wasted. That is a good way to stick it to them.

Never underestimate the power of ego. It typically rides a horse named Stupid and as we all know, Stupid is a horse that can be ridden very far.

You have dudes with ACL tears going in the first round. If he kept in shape and just trained like a beast, he'd be OK I think? The season hasn't started yet so who knows but there are only a couple of preseason 4-3 defensive end studs right now and everyone needs another pass rusher. I mean, get paid if you can but if he's really that salty and just takes the contract, they've got him for the next 6 years including franchise tagging. No one is going to be crying over a dude making millions but that's a long time to be tied to an employer you do not like.

Also, I'm not a Charger fan so it'd be kind of cool to see someone just stand their ground and say no, fuck you and your wasted #3 pick. Where's Adam when you need him?

So who rents Drew Brees next year since I doubt the Saints can afford the cost of applying the franchise tag for the third time, somewhere in the 40 million range. So I ask you...where does Brees play next year?

Also about Bo falling after refusing the Bucs, a lot of teams were scared that with his success in MLB would deter him from football and then there was the whole first few months conflicting with the end of baseball and no wants a part time player.

None of that is a concern for Bosa, also DE typically suck their first year.

Jets. It's always the Jets. There is never any other answer.

And to round out our Cowboys news, in the wake of Dak emerging as the new Aaron Rodgers. Apparently Zeke is in trouble for visiting a Seattle pot store before the game yesterday.

Random drug test incoming!

Season is shaping up nicely

All this Dallas talk gets boring

You should give us updates on the glorified practice squad QB the Eagles drafted with the #2 pick to keep us entertained. I look forward to hearing from you about how well he commands the scout team.

Good one Burn...

Ready for Eagles tomorrow night. They are still such an unknown to me. The secondary looks good but I'm worried it could be a fluke, no idea what to expect from the WRs... Hoping DGB wakes up and turns out to be the talent people thought he was when he was drafted and will Matthews make it past week 3!?

Legit worried about week 1 matchup with the Skins and their wideouts. Feels weird typing that. Garcon, Jackson, Reed, Crowder etc (forgot about Ross he looks damn good too) are going to be a goddamn handful for this secondary to matchup with. Thank god we have the fastest linebacker in the league to at least cover Reed, but the outside is what I fear the most :[

Also, this is what I meant from Shazier being the fastest lb. That's him at camp this year smoking AB and Marcus Wheaton who both ran low 4.4 40 times

As good as Shazier is, I don't see him being able to stop Reed completely all by himself. Will be curious to see how often he's matched up on him, though.
