Hey don't be so harsh on Case "I'm not good enough for the Texans" Keenum of the 5-10 record fame. Apparently we're going to waste another half year to year of starts on a career nobody.

Back to Austin as a receiver, yeah, he's not an elite receiver and I don't think anyone is arguing that. That's not his only position though and when you put it all together I think he got "his" last year.

Jeff Fisher installed 2 different brand new OC's last year and mandated we run the ball. I forget where I read it but in last years training camp viewers were saying it was the absolute worst passing attack design they had ever seen.

I think that was pretty obvious watching the team last year.

I'm down on Dez precisely because when Romo was out he was garbage, he was hurt and never fully recovered he claims so I'll cut him some slack. If he wants to be the best show he can do it with Dak and I'll gain back what faith I had previously.

I thought AB was the best until Hopkins last year with no rb, and balled out. Fact remains true elite players get theirs, regardless of the supporting cast and we have seen it time and time again through out the years. Wins are different though.
Newsflash wide receivers cant throw themselves passes.

Go look up ABs stats when Ben was hurt last year. They were dogshit too. The NFL isnt tennis, wide receiver numbers start with protection and then a QB to even make their talents available to the offense as a QB eating dirt 2s after the snap isnt going to be productive.

You also have to keep targets in mind when making comparisons based on numbers too. The Falcons, Texans and Steelers all force feed their playmakers at a higher rate than some other teams. No surprise those guys numbers were far better.

2015 Most Targeted Wide Receivers

When you consider Julio Jones was targeted over FIFTY times more than Allen Robinson was, and had 8 tds vs Robinsons 14.....

Watch Houston Texans vs. Tennessee Titans [12/27/2015] - NFL.com

Dez had multiple chances to do with Weeden what Hopkins did.

Dez is the best in the air and body control and shielding the defender, Dez single covered is open even if the defender is dry humping him down the field.

Antonio Brown is the best route runner in the game and gets wide the fuck open way to much for someone who is doubled almost entirely.

Hopkins overall is better, you can claim Hoyer is better than Keenum but we will be arguing which pile of shit stinks less. Hopkins had no Gurley, preformed well regardless of who his qb was. Fact of the matter is Hopkins has never had a legit NFL qb, he used to have Foster prior to last year and will have a running threat again with Miller.

Anyways Hopkins, Brown, Beckham, Jones, Bryant. Dez is my favorite player on the Cowboys.

I'm surprised at some of the players ahead of AJ Green on that list.

Must have missed that epic Cowboys-Titans game last year. Shit if the girls played in the AFC South even they could have made the playoffs.

We have multiple games of Weeden and Dez and sure they weren't against the Titans but you aren't going to get a much better comparison than what we have which is Weeden with both Dez and Hopkins in the same year. Just saying that's damn near the perfect comparison short of common opponent.

I'll have to dig up the blog or website. But it was a guy who did an analysis of every snap QBs took. And essentially equated it to "Cousins" should've had many more picks.

Which is consistent to his career so far. Guy is a gunslinger, and not a great one. I think he is decent/slightly above-average. I just don't see the Skins being much, then again, as of a week ago this division has really nothing in it.

Compared to his career average, his last 10 games was a large deviation. But there wasn't a lot of balls that should have been picked off like they were bad throws. He also had some unlucky picks off poorly tipped balls by his receivers earlier in the year.

Of course, given what he did before those last 10 games, I'm skeptical that it's "for real" and that he's suddenly doing that much better not turning the ball over. That said, I wouldn't call him a gunslinger by any stretch, he doesn't always throw the ball downfield all the much (although with D Jackson it happens more), but he has always put up some pretty decent yards, even when he was turning it over quite a bit.

Can someone hook me up with some Dez states from last year?

Dez put up 31 catches on 74 targets for 401 yards and 3 TD's in 9 games last year. Although Romo QB'd in only 2 of those games I believe.
