ESPN's Adam Caplan reports Carson Wentz will start against the Browns in Week 1 if he's recovered from his ribs injury.

Wentz has been sidelined since taking a colossal hit in the first preseason game, but the Eagles are ready to throw him into the fire after trading Sam Bradford. Wentz has reportedly looked heads and shoulders above Chase Daniel in practice. It still wouldn't be surprising to see Daniel get the call in Week 1 — the Eagles have little incentive to rush Wentz if his health isn't ready yet — but they're clearly going to be as aggressive as is reasonable.

They replaced the first round pick they used to get Wentz, and they also get to accelerate the Chase Daniel to Carson Wentz transition (parallel to the Pederson to McNabb handoff under Andy Reid). They gave up a second round pick to get Bradford and then traded him for a first and (at the very least) a fourth round pick. Are your retarded? They weren't in contention for anything this season anyway.

Again, what? I'm not even a McNabb fan, but he was the greatest QB in Eagles history. The new Pederson regime is set up like Andy Reid v2.0. Your original question was how do the Eagles win out of this. Their GM just pulled off a killer trade.
