Greg Roman was not a great OC, so him being fired isn't a surprise. I think they even commented how they only got in the Red Zone once last night. Outside of those 2 long catches, and that one late drive, the offense was garbage.

Of course you guys are correct though, the defense was the far bigger issue. Of course he isn't going to fire his brother though!

it just reeks of "Move to make a move"

This staff was a joke to start the year. Outside of a Tug of War I dont think they could win anything.

Rex wont fire Thurman...He wont fire his brother...so for any defensive change they would need to fire Rex. And that would end the season and start the tank.

Im reading there was pressure from the Owner and they made a move. Since Roman showed up there has been no hurry up offense - horrible clock mangement, horrible time out management due to plays coming in late. The guy is an uncoordinated mess.

Im fine with him going, but its just lip service. Might as well start the Tank, Draft Chad kelly and hope he plays like his Uncle.

I'm just happy this will be the last stop for both Ryans. Can't stand either of them.

Roman was fine. Their offense was 12th in scoring and 13th in yards last year with Tyrod Taylor.

Offense scores 31 and defense gives up 37 and you fire the OC? Mmkay

Rexy looked like he was about to cry on the sidelines last night after the last Jets score. Was good stuff.

To be fair the offense only scored 24, which by Rams standards seems like a whole fucking lot. Maybe we should hire this guy.

He likes to throw the ball past 5 yards, Fisherstache would be frowning in disapproval.

Again, most losses (as opposed to loss %) is a marker of mediocrity, not terribleness. The truly terrible get fired instantly; you have to be good enough to stay employed (e.g. mediocre) to have a chance to rack up that many losses.

That said, I don't think anyone on Earth can explain why the Rams want to keep him, outside of the Agent angle.

True but is he mediocre or did Steve McNair hide how awful he is for all those years? It doesn't hurt that Rams ownership doesn't give a shit about things like winning and competence.
