Right.
on.
Schedule.
Not a win, but the 88-92 Bills should be in the conversation long before the 72 Phins.
Anyway, it looks like tonight's game was a real barn burner. MNF has been hot garbage for the last 5 or 6 years.
Good enough to play his way into that contract.Osweiler didn't play good. That's why he was benched.

I'm not entirely disagreeing with you but he kept the ship aloft on the eventual Super Bowl winner in a season where Manning was a shell of his former self. More to the point, it's hard to argue that he wasn't playing better than Manning during his time as the starter. And yet, Broncos still turned back to Manning when they hit the playoffs. Despite having the worst season of his career, they still felt like he gave them the best chance to win with that team.Lets not bs...it's not that he played "good enough" for that contract. It's that Houston was desperate as fuck for anything resembling a starting QB. The guy who drafted him (Elway) walked away from him when the price got too high. Not saying he can't turn into a decent or good starter in the league, just that he was straight up Matt Flynn 2.0 more than some guy who genuinely earned a payday.

Hi kirk cousins, hi Ryan Fitzpatrick.Good enough to play his way into that contract.

Which brings me full circle and echoes what others are saying. There's no guarantee that Dak will continue along this trajectory. I'm all for riding the hot hand but I see the success of this season revolving around dominant O-line play, a brutal rushing attack, the defense being both opportunistic and shutdown at key times, and nearly mistake-free quarterback play. The last bit is important. Dak is worlds better than what rolled through last year and the coaches clearly feel as if they don't need to limit the playbook when he's in there, but more than that he's doing a damn good job of not. So if the reasonable expectation is that Romo is healthy and can keep the train rolling, ala 2014 (when he still had to orchestrate a couple of come from behind wins), then there's no point in sitting him if the feeling is he gives them the best chance to win.
Hi kirk cousins, hi Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Dak is playing really good, mostly mistake free football, which is exactly what Romo will do when he takes the field.
Are you suggesting that Flacco is better than Romo?Wut.
I guess I'm jaded, because every time Romo is near the opposing end zone or his end zone my heart sinks and I expect a soul-crushing interception.
Even if Dak stays at 1 interception for the next 10 years and plays every game, it will take years to erase my jitters.
I expected Romo to be a nice stop-gap until they draft a star QB, because I could never see him taking them to the big show.
When they basically paid him superbowl-winning Joe Flacco money I couldn't believe my eyes.
