Man what a draft class, Zeke and Dak everyone knows about but Collins and Brown have been fantastic all year. If Smith's nerve ever fires, might just go down as the best draft in Cowboys history.

Also thank you KC for Irving, appreciate the help. Remember I said Tampa had been winning because they protected the ball and caused turnovers during that 5 game win streak at a 3-1 clip...

Zeke is 258 yards from Dickersons rookie record, 129 yards a game. Take a look at his yards in each game from week 1-15.

Also I don't know if this is a record or not but I'd bet it hasn't happened before and if it has not often. Dallas has had 3 consecutive years of 1,000 yard rushers by 3 different backs.

Denver did it 1998-2000 also. Terrell Davis, Olandis Gary, Mike Anderson. No idea if it's been done by anyone else though. They also had Portis in 2002, but nobody in 2001.

Pats have probably the least flaws of any playoff contender at the moment, but playing their own division and the piss poor AFC South certainly helps. Still, good statement win for them against Denver yesterday. Also Cowboys needed a statement game like that if they actually want to make the SB and not just high five Eli on his way to fluke ring number three. Bucs are a no joke team and they beat them solidly. I agree with whoever said that they should not be bothering with trick plays. Trick plays are for teams with a deficit of talent, not the team with the superior lines.

NFC is probably anybody's game at this point, but the Giants have been playing the most consistent football and the Cowboys have the talent plus home field, so its probably going to be one of them. Barring a total meltdown or rash of unforeseen injuries, Pats will coast to the SB on their end.

If Dallas wins next week or Giants lose, I can't imagine why they would keep Zeke in for a full game week 17 or give him many touches.

Right. If Dallas goes into Monday night with the Giants having lost, I think you'll see a close to 50/50 split between Zeke and McFadden/Morris. They can talk about still going 100%, but no reason to overwork him before the games that really matter.

Dallas is the kind of team that will go for the record, even though the smart thing might be to rest him. Of course I happen to think that if you have home field sewn up, you should just pound the ball up the gut all game as this is the easiest on your Oline and keeps the D off the field most of the game, so there is a good argument for having him in there anyhow.

Plus, if I am Dallas and remember recent history, I would want to win that game soundly just to keep momentum, especially with the extra week off in between W17 and the divisional round.

I think that's the biggest thing. Having 2 weeks off is just too much for a playoff run. Resting your starters for week 17, not playing in round 1, and then expecting to be ready for the divisional round seems like a bad idea.

This time Romo can go to Cabo and no one will give a shit.

in the AFC, the only team that worrys me atm is the steelers, mostly due to denver and ravens being "outside looking in"

the Patriots - imo should- make the SB.

NFC

Giants & Dallas -Seattle not as much. - if nothing changes, imo giants to the superbowl :(

hate to say it but barring a few losses by the giants so they do not make the playoffs, giants are the team to beat in the NFC right now. the defense is looking good.

I don't know about the Giants hype train, the toughest thing to do in the NFL is beat a division opponent 3 times in the same season. I like Dallas' chance if they meet again.

The Steelers are so poorly coached that I'm worried least about them, bad penalties, inexplicably going for two, shitty play calling, give me them anytime in New England over Kansas City, in spite of their small hands QB and bad clock managing coach they are the team I worry most about.
