I think I said at some point within the last year that the Giants' remaining window with Eli was maybe 2-3 years. He's 35 and will be 36 before they play their first playoff game this year (because I think at least one of the four teams they need to lose to get in will do so). Time takes all QBs at some point so I stick by my comment. I figure they'll be good to use him until Beckham's next contract starts, at which point they better have his successor on the team and ready to go or you're going to see one of the best receivers in the league languish during his prime years.

yeah pretty much, however, i think the o-line this year has been better- overall- than either of the team's o-line that lost to the giants in the superbowl.

not getting to brady= (usually) getting picked apart by the quick passing game.

How many Cowboys fans do we have rooting for the Eagles tonight?

No. Not even if it was the cowboy's only shot at making the playoffs.

Rooting for a team to lose is different from rooting for their opponent to win, but I wasn't doing either of those last night. Fuck the eagles.

Eli looked like absolute shit last night and it would appear his arm strength just isn't there anymore. It happened earlier in the year but the second pick intended for OBJ, you can see he doesn't get nearly enough air under the ball. Hell, look at the very first pass of the game, Odell smokes the corner off the line and Eli underthrows it allowing the safety to even come back into the play. It should've been a long TD to open the game.

His deep ball used to be the best part of his game. Either there's an undiagnosed injury, or Father Time has caught up to him.

Either way the officials can suck my dick with the amount of bullshit that occurred in last nights game.

I've cheered for division rivals plenty of times over the years to play upset. Nothing wrong with that. I know being dominant and making playoffs again is big deal for you Cowboys fans, but sometimes division races are a little bit more competitive.

I consistently root for the Dolphins to win so @Sutekh can start to feel good, only to have his hopes crushed in week 17.

I have a Steeler fan coming to my house for the game Sunday. This is new and uncharted territory for me....

We also have a stone crab/fresh fish bet. More valuable than money in my book.

Probably lurking until the dolphins make the playoffs, probably has a post blaming the refs for the loss in advance.

Doesn't sound that crazy to me either, outside of the Lions beating Dallas and Washington beating NY I expect most of those to happen. With clinching #1 seed Dallas is resting anyone banged up and a loss not mattering it's not a stretch.

Unless Stafford shows up wreaking of marijuana causing Gregory to light him up.

Zeke needs to average like 130 on the ground over the next two games to break EDs record. Wonder if they will risk him next week

Eli has been a int machine his entire career

Yeah, but they were bad decisions before. Now they are increasingly his mind writing checks his body can no longer cash.

I think it costs the Giants a mere $900k more to keep him on the roster than to cut him this offseason, so he's not going anywhere in 2017. I wouldn't be shocked if they use a Day 2 pick on a QB prospect though. (I don't even remember when Josh Johnson last played for the Bucs, and he's the only other QB they have, I believe.)

With the playoffs locked up do you think Romo will get some reps in the next two games?

Edko Famm etc you guys absolutely need to read this article if you have not about the rivalry and has a ton of good shit Ive never heard. Easily the best Steelers-Ravens article I have ever read.

The Steelers-Ravens Rivalry: An Oral History | The MMQB with Peter King

My favorite snippet of all:

SCOTT:
We are losing big in Pittsburgh one year, and I was known for always going to the opposing sideline during timeouts. I am arguing with Dan Kreider, the fullback then, in front of Mike Tomlin. Tomlin has his arms crossed, listening. So I say, “Coach, he’s talking a lot of s---. Put him in the game, and run an iso, and I bet I knock his ass out.” So, Tomlin asks Kreider, “You want him?” He says, “Hell yeah, I want him coach!” Tomlin uncrossed his arms, threw his hands and pointed for it. Now Kreider is running in mad. He’s putting his chin strap on. I run out, and lo and behold, he runs the play. The down block came in, and I hit him, “pow!” and I tackle Willie Parker at the same time. Kreider jumps up too fast, runs to the sideline, but he only made it back to the numbers before he collapses. They had to call a TV timeout.

I do a financial literacy program, and I have been at the Steelers facility and told that story, and the people at Morgan Stanley thought I was embellishing. But you can ask Tomlin. That’s when I became a fan of Mike Tomlin, and he became a fan of me. He said he was going to run the play, and he gave us what we wanted.

TOMLIN: I will never confirm. But Bart is not a storyteller.
