Every other place in the US is so spread out that most people don't live close enough to differentiate between East Coast cities. I don't doubt most average sports fans could point out the general direction. Sure, give them a dot or something to pick it and then maybe they could.

I doubt most people could accurately fill out a map with state names, let alone major cities.

Yeah...true.

Glad you slinked back in here.
I've been here all season, but work swapped my schedule and I work Sundays now. So, I don't have as much time to shitpost during games as I'd like.

I try my best to reach out to my fans though. Miss you too, bae.

I'm aware of all these things. In fact that's why it makes so little sense. Sure i understand why NY/NJ got the first outdoor SB, but NM over Boston? And just because the Pats play in Foxborough doe not make tem the "foxborough" Patriots, i mean cmon that's a silly chap shot. it's like calling them the Meadowlands Jets/Giants

I was at the Warwick Mall early in the 01 season and noticed the local (now ded sports radio) was broadcasting with the unknown backup QB (Brady) and kicker (AV) for a meet and greet. They did this after every game that year.. there was like none at the first but it was PACKED after the last...

SO am i a band wagoner? I guess how you decide? II lived in the UK/HK until 98 (Liverpool FC was my fav team) or so but since then it's been all NE sports teams.. People often forget we were known as the city of losers back then.

They play Super Bowls in domes or warm weather with almost no exceptions. Not a lot of SBs being played at Heinz field either, bro.

I can name the capital (and locations) of like every country on earth off the top of my head. I have no idea where Foxboro is on a map. Why the fuck would I?

I dunno Boston +, the 13 colonies. and New England are taught so hard in school i would imagine your average American at least has greater knowledge of it then any other non close by city aside from NYC, DC, and LA,maybe CHC and SF. Most people, especially sorts fans consider it's the the biggest city north of NYC, or at least the "Second city" 2nd of the North East in peoples minds...

( Sorry Philly , i like your Spanish food place. But i would be insane to pick Philly a place to live in over the Boston area.) It doesn't get talked about as muhc but only Manhattan, and SF have gentrified as much as Boston the past 30-40 years or so. The cost of living is thru the roof even after losing the technology pre-eminency war with Silicon Valley in the late 80s-90s.

Reminds me of the non PI call on pick 6 the Ravens had against Manning early in that game of their last Super Bowl year. But like I said, when it's that close they tend to let it go.
