It sounded more like forced "hype" about the halftime show than him being upset about the Patriots being down, but I guess whatever floats your boat...

I really want to know the Butler story. I know Darth Bill likes to do Darth Bill things. But did pride back fire on him? I can't help but think Butler if healthy would have absolutely made a difference especially when they had to go nickel.

Gdit. Fucking Cooks gets knocked out, then Brady creates a meme trying to catch (just waiting for the edit cut of Giselle saying Tom Brady can't throw and catch the ball after that SB loss years ago), then that dumb fumble and the touchdown that should have been overturned (dude wasn't a runner). Shitty game.

But grats Philly. Don't burn down your city tonight, please.

I can see how someone wouldn't think he was a runner.

Like if they don't understand the rules or something.

Malcolm Butler on benching: 'They gave up on me'

Butler was pretty salty after the game, so something went on. He's a free agent this year, so I doubt he will return if there has been drama behind the scenes. He will get paid by someone, though.

Butler did have a bad year this year and had some really bad penalties this season. Bills reason apparently is he felt Butler wasn't a good fit against the Eagles offense. Butler obviously disagrees. Butler and his not-really-an-agent agent caused some pretty retarded drama last off season and with this year being a bad year for him I can easily see a situation where Bill sees something in practice that he doesn't like that convinces him Butler isn't the right fit for this particular game.

Rumor mill getting pretty crazy for the Pats. Gronk is concerned for his health and threw around the Retirement word and rumors are starting to swirl that Josh McDaniels is considering stiffing the Colts and coming back to NE to eventually take the job from Bill. Doubt Gronk is going to retire but if he gets injured next season I'm positive he's done. The McDaniels situation is both interesting and hilarious.

Gronk probably should consider retiring. Can only take so many injuries (especially concussions) before it becomes not so great to have all that money and be 30 years old.

No idea what happened with Butler but i'm sure he did something to get on Belichick's bad side.

I think the only semi questionable call was the touchdown where the ball was fairly loose but it wasn't really a "wtf kind of call is that!?!?" type of call. The other one was pretty obviously a touchdown

Man, amazes me the crybaby fest I'm hearing in person, people so butthurt about the "he's a runner" call, and several other calls, meanwhile the Pats didn't get several calls against them for clear pass interference (let me push the shit out of you while the ball is in the end zone). Like someone mentioned before, refs just let them play the game. There's too much shady shit around the Pats and bad or no ref calls, already. Clearly they didn't pay off the refs this time.

Didn't see much actual pass interference. If that was pass interference, Kaepernick and 49ers would have had 4 more shots from inside the 5 after the obvious hold on 4th and goal in that Super Bowl.

Eagles did get 2 "catch" rule calls in their favor. The first one I thought was more suspect than the 2nd, seemed pretty clear he was a runner.

The Pats are notorious for not being on the receiving end of penalties, but when a guy straight pushes the receiver in the end zone, and no call. I'm not salty given the refs generally didn't call much in general. Though it was actually a pretty clean game overall.

Grats eagles and eagles fans. I expect riots in both cities tonight. Don't disappoint. You know the boston fags are already rioting, so don't let them out do you.

Best part is that the backup QB won MVP. No way that doesn't cause problems in philly next year. Even if they avoid the QB controversy by trading him, the first time wince has a shitty game, you shittier fans will be lamenting that you traded the wrong guy away and start throwing batteries at him.

And finally, I don't know why I never noticed how white the patriots are. Like seriously, has anyone got stats on that handy to save me time googling? On offense, it looked like they had 2 or 3 black guys max at any given time.
