I'm fairly certain Goodell is tired of the chippy antics from certain teams. Seems like they are clamping down hard on the regular culprits, hence that iffy ejection. With the current talent pool and PRO, the NFL likely does not want the extra injuries that comes from that shit.

It's a violent sport. I don't mind if they get chippy and trash talk. I don't recall anyone getting seriously injured from fighting either.

And even if Lane has a history, it's total BS not to call Adams for grabbing him by the face mask.

Don't disagree, but any time the qb pool sucks and there is bad public relations injuries, chippy stuff gets flagged more and offensive holds get flagged less.
