Kaep would definitely make a great backup, but nobody wants to deal with that shit for a backup. He dug his own grave with his BLM faggotry.
No backup and many starters are not worth the bullshit Kaep brings.

The rookie wage scale probably corrected the lingering resentment of #1 picks (usually quarterbacks) getting $50M guaranteed before ever playing a down (and that's before we discuss all of the busts)...but it's clearly fucked the guys who come in and outperform those contracts by a mile or more.

Donald is probably the best interior DL in football right now and the Rams still won't budge. Going to be interesting when he hits free agency, I guess.

You mean a team isn't close to throwing out one of the pillars of the newest CBA, approved by the players (since it put more money into the hands of veterans from newbies), and enraging the rest of the owners, for just one player, as good as he may be?

Welcome to union contracts, Aaron. He can certainly push that Rookie Deals should have better elevators for exceptional performance (and good luck arguing what those numbers will be, especially guessing what the league will look like 5-10 years from then when the next contract ends), but if he thinks he's going to get Suh's current contract when he's years away from real free agency, he's going to be burning a lot of game checks while he sits at home.

Yeah, we'll see. That's the kind of nonsense CNN source I was expecting.

Look the Rams paid Tavon Austin a ridiculous contract after 3 years when they had zero reason to. They also paid Ogletree. There is little to no chance they aren't willing to pay Aaron Donald right now. Snead himself brought this shit up during the draft or some shit.

IMO there is a hefty contract on the table, his agent is a notorious douchebag trying to get him the contract and the world too.

I agree. These are things the players agreed to and while Aaron is outperforming his contract, does anyone believe he won't end up getting paid? Every issue the players have today is based off their inferior negotiations just a few years ago. Everyone is expecting to get paid right now in life but how often does that work? Fuck dat guy.

In other news, Kaepernick's former QB coach: Poor pocket play reason for unemployment. Tired subject but the guy coached Kaep. That whole non-story isn't going away until Backup Boy gets a job.

Not to mention most teams with an established starter wouldn't want a potential starting caliber guy anyways behind them. Doesn't makes sense for a team with Ben already on it.

Hearing we were able to trade Carrier to the Rams for a 7th. Thanks Daez!

I mean, its Florio so who knows. That said, you just mentioned what a douche his agent is. I bet they already offered him Suh money and they want some stupid shit on top of it like you said.....so knowing what we know about that, it makes perfect sense too.

Was it ever personal with Osweiler and the Broncos? I thought it was purely about money. Brock went and took that check, not the end of the world if he comes back.

They knew he was not worth what he wanted and cut him loose. If they can get him cheap they will.

Shit the Browns still owe him $16 million this year. He can sign on the cheap this season and he's still getting a good paycheck.

Pricey for a 2nd round pick, but if you have the cap room I guess...

Yeah it was but they had tons of cap space and need to build for the future.
