Oh and I heard the local houston station cut away from the game after that last punt with 1 second left on the clock. I really wish the bungles had scored. Not because I wanted the texans to lose, but because I want any station that cuts away from an NFL game to get hammered. Your local news is not more important than the game. They will get complaints now, but they'll brush them all off because there was no score.

Since when is football important in any sense of the word? Notice the key "game".

I wouldnt count on Luck for this season. Not to mention depending how garbage they are how much they lose until then he might not get put in at all.

They really are the worst run team in football. Yes, even after watching that game last night I stand by the statement. Luck was like being gifted a winning lottery ticket, knowing you've won, and then leaving the ticket in your jeans to be washed.

As unimportant as you may think football is. I guarantee the local news is even less important. Not to mention that the 2 minutes wouldn't have even come out of the newscast. It woulf have come out of the mash rerun at midnight.

Well, you should look at the seats at Levi's from before the 2nd half started. Sure, it wasn't full by any means but a huge reason for it being so empty on the visitors side is due to the heat and zero shade. It's a terrible setup and they really need to figure out a way to address it.

I am sure if the 49ers were good it would be better, but nobody is willing to sit in 90 degree heat directly under the sun and watch a shitty team.

It really seems like the bubble is starting to pop for the NFL, at least on the cocked up economics of the sport. They finally wised up and reportedly cut 10 minutes of ads in the games this season because fans were tired of the games running past 3 hours and really fucking tired of the multiple ad breaks after scoring plays, extra points, and the kickoff.

If it goes on long enough perhaps the empty seats will force changes to the absurdly expensive and often shitty stadium experience. Maybe it's just expensive elsewhere...but going to a game at Fedex Field undeniably sucks cock.

I mean, I really love football but it's been a long time coming for some of this shit.

I always watch the game off of the DVR now. Even if I'm there for the kickoff, I'll watch some other show for an hour and then fast forward the commercials and usually catch up by the end of the game. Anytime I watch a live game I'm struck by how many commercials there are.

The shitty stadium experience is the real loser for some of these teams (because it's not the case for many teams who give a very good one). Maybe it's more accurate to say it's not a shitty stadium experience, but you can get so much out of being at home just watching RedZone that getting to save all the money on tickets/parking/concessions/whatever is very attractive option.

Would like to see him have a great year. He gets a bad rap from the roockie contract he got and shitty teams. Think he is a legit QB when he isn't hurt.

This is the most Redskins shit I've ever seen...Su'a Cravens is on some kind of 30 day "voluntarily not playing football" list and he's been seen hanging out on the USC sidelines in LA tonight. You know...where the Redskins are playing the Rams tomorrow. You can't make this shit up.

*Insert culturally insensitive team name here* going down tomorrow! This is all the shit talk I can muster. I've always liked the Redskins because I hate the Cowboys.

Wasnt Cravens going to retire? He doesnt give a fuck.

49ers are going to get fucking SPANKED today. Im thinking 34 10 Seahawks. Maybe 37-3. That Seattle defense has more talent on the back end than the entire 49ers roster. Its a shame really, how innefective this offense continues to be. Its amazing what Harbaugh was able to do in 2012 with this team. They were averaging almost 30 points a game that year! With Kaepernick, Gore, and Vernon Davis.... (and Crebtree, but fuck that guy), it really is a testament to how good Harbaugh is as a coach. The 49ers havent been the same team or offense since.

What is even more disappointing is their defensive collapse. Willis retired, after dealing with a series of nagging injuries during his final 2 seasons. Bowman suffers a horrific knee injury in the super bowl. Chris Borland retires after a great rookie season. Justin Smith retired. Aldon Smith finished his conversion into a crazy person and isnt even in the league anymore. (what a sad story, he was truly a great player) Absolutely devastated the defense. They already had issues stopping big plays in the passing game, but now its much, much worse.

I like their defensive coordinator Robert Saleh. He is a muslim from Dearborn, but he seems like a smart guy and will hopefully improve the defense. You can only go up after hitting rock bottom.

Damn, Bradford officially inactive today and Keenum will be starting.

Feel bad for the guy. Hopefully it doesn't turn out to be something long term, but it has to be concerning.

The Cravens story sort of old news for us at this point. I guess over there with the USC thing it popped up again. If he decides to come back he can be activated, but he'd probably have some explaining to do to teammates.

Daez I hope it's a good game. Curious to see how our O line does against you guys. Also just curious to see the chess match of McVay and Gruden since they know each other's offenses so well.

I hope it doesn't go well for your o-line but I'm curious myself. Oh god everyone on NFL Network picked the Rams to win. Kiss of death.
