Used to be if you lost to the Bucs in the regular season you would not win the Super Bowl. 2009 Saints only team to break that. Doesn't help that most of their existence the Bucs have been terrible and therefore only likely to beat other bad teams, but details.

And from what I heard, people weren't high on Flowers as a LT even in that draft. Rumor was they wanted Scherff, but we took him at #5, so Giants semi panicked and just grabbed the next lineman on their board.

It's possible -- I don't follow college football so I'm pretty much in the dark when it comes to picks. Not sure if that's good or bad, but I generally have no expectations so I don't hold onto "he's a first round pick!" or "he was good in college!"
All I know is Ereck Flowers is simply the worst LT I've ever seen play for the Giants, and I had to suffer through David Diehl.

what about the one that predicts the outcome of the presidential election based on who wins the cowboys redskins game that year in washington? Last I checked, that was holding true.
If memory serves, a redskins win means the incumbent party wins, a cowboys win means the challenger does.
2016 cowboys won, and the challenger (trump) won
2012 the skins won and obama was re-elected
2008 cowboys won and obama took over for W
2004 cowpokes won and W was re-elected.

I don't think this one is ALWAYS true, but it has a pretty remarkable accuracy rate.
There's also this variation of it, which only looks at the Redskins last home game before the election, and remarkably it held true EVERY time from 1940-2000.
