The 49ers are bad, everyone knows this. But the amount of injuries they are suffering is making it 100x worse.
Starting right tackle out with an injury, the terrible replacement goes down with injury and is replaced by a terrible OLineman who normally plays guard. Starting safety with injury history out for the game with an injury. Oh and look at that, Joe Staley starting left tackle goes down too.
So fucked.

Because Hoyer is also awful. I am assuming the thought process is for the 49ers to play Beathard to at least see what they have in him.
I can't figure it out beyond that.

I mean, didnt Hoyer take the Texans to the playoffs and put up like 40 points and 300+ yards on the Rams just a few weeks ago??
He might not be a top 5 QB but its not even close between the two.

Yes, and Shanahan was the Offensive Coordinator that year I believe, which is why I think they targeted Hoyer in the off season.. And he did have a decent game against the Rams, but has been pretty bad since then. When they decided to yank Hoyer for Beathard, Beathard had a decent game and sparked the offense a bit. I guess Shanahan figured maybe he would continue to be able to do that. Clearly that isn't the case. However, it isn't like the 49ers OLine is giving him much of a chance to do shit back there.
I don't know, either way I think they are fucked.
