I know, Brady has it rough.Wonder if that will work out for them. Hard to be a good QB on a bad team.

I don't like that trade at all. Unless he works out to be amazing, what a stupid fucking trade.
He is a completely unproven QB and we have holes EVERYWHERE. What the fuck.
You guys are, what, 0-8, and everyone was making the comments about how abandoned the stands were? At some point you have to pivot from "We're the Factory of Sadness West" to "Yeah, we're terrible, but here's our plan to get better - starting with one of the few best QBs not locked up for years, and the only one not starting for another team right now."
But what does this mean for Cousins? Does he start flirting with the Jags and such?
You realize the Garoppolo is in the last year of his contract? So the 49ers either have to pay him a ton now to lock him up, while having absolutely no idea how good he really is. Or they have to take a chance to sign him in the off season, or franchise tag him?You guys are, what, 0-8, and everyone was making the comments about how abandoned the stands were? Every true 49ers fan knows the plan has been to rebuild, mostly through the draft. There was a chance to either get Cousins as a free agent, or draft a QB that is just as proven as Garoppolo (AKA not at all).
It is a stupid knee jerk reaction because they have had some pretty bad QB play this year. But that bad QB play is backed up by terrible OLine play, and mediocre receivers.
Fuck.
Edit: Oh and don't forget, if this is the 49ers 2nd round pick (they have the Saints 2nd also) it is essentially like a 1st round pick for the Patriots. Since the Patriots will most likely pick somewhere between 28-32 in the first, and the 49ers would pick somewhere between 33-35 in the 2nd.
So. Dumb.
You may actually be right. There are a TON of 49er fans who actually think this is a brilliant move. Of course these people are morons like this guyErr, to be clear, I didn't say it made logical sense. I just said it made football PR sense.
A 2nd round pick for 8 games and negotiating rights (when the only real leverage is that you just guaranteed to pay him top 5 QB money next year), when all anyone talks about are newbie QBs, is tough to say makes logical sense.
Got a feeling they're going to trade Hyde
And get back a 2nd pick. Saquon Barkley is our future RB. O-Line and edge rusher will follow. CB in free agency. Next year is going to be epic!
