Russel Wilson should not be able to get away with that horseshit as often as he does. Why can no one tackle that little shit?

So many injuries, not just tonight but across the league this year, so many teams crippled.

We need to find a way to plug these guys into robots already

How long till all these injuries makes the NFL rethink thursday night games?

I've seen a lot of articles lately that CBS/NBC want to end it and their contracts are up after this year. The ratings suck, most of the games suck, and the players hate it for obvious reasons. So we'll see.

Lets hope so because even without the injuries the games do suck

They could make the games better and make the players happy if the Thursday night games were scheduled after each teams bye week. They play on Sunday, have their bye and play 11 days later on Thursday, play 10 days later on Sunday. Wouldn't work the first few weeks of the season though

He can be "built" more for the RZ, but there's also something to be said for those great route runners that can get separation and find the dead spots against zones. I love that you just admit that he should have been included, and I agree that at some point going forward Davante will probably take over that role (Hundley seems to target him more, fwiw). I still think Jordy is the best receiver on the Packers, currently though. I think their running game isn't bad with Montgomery and Jones, to be honest. Rodgers has never really overly used his TE's, but Bennett really didn't do much...although now he's back on the Pats probably to get another ring, which is insane.
Yeah I chuckled when I saw that Bennett got his money and now he may get another ring. Win-win right? They're probably cracking up together.

Well it would be fine for opening week. But i say get rid of thursday games other than thanksgiving and opening day. I heard a report that there are more injuries on thursday games. Anyone got any actual hard stats on that, or is the NFLPA pulling it out of their asses?

I've never seen any hard numbers on it.

It does only stand to reason that you have a higher chance of escalating an injury if you only have 4 days of rest vs. 7.

Then again, the flipside is you have 10 days to rest after your TNF games vs. everyone else with only 7.

In addition, the Thanksgiving games have been on for forever, and no one has complained about those. At most only a couple teams will have two Thursday games, and if they do it's because of Thanksgiving.

Then again again, I wouldn't listen to any rumors about TV networks - they are just trying to get the NFL to sell the next TNF package for less. The dark secret is NFL packages are barely profitable, and that's before the ratings drops we've seen over the last couple years. Networks jumped to get them not because they make profit but because it is the best way to promote new TV shows ("Watch Young Sheldon!"), it's the best way to sell luxury ads to business assholes that don't watch TV otherwise (next time you watch a game, notice how many Acura and Tag Heuer ads there are) and every time they have the Super Bowl they win the overall ratings numbers for the year (the TV business is so fragmented that yes, the Super Bowl wins, and the AFC Championship shifted CBS a spot up a couple years) and can use that on advertisers when they set ad rates.

I kept saying there's no way he tore his achilles as he's walking up and down the sideline.

Can't say I've seen that before.
NFL players get Toradol shots so many times (especially when they're hurt) that he probably won't feel the pain until some time today when it wears off.
