For those fans that still attend the games at the stadium - are some players still kneeling for the national anthem? Ever since this situation erupted, POTUS Trump made a few comments, and owners followed with their own complaints (along with a certain pizza individual), cable / television broadcasts have had commercial breaks when they would have shown the national anthem. Perhaps networks believe if people do not see the kneeling players, then it will fade from memory and not be an issue.

Yesterday, some commercial began and had one Marshawn Lynch hyping something. I could not tell you what that commercial was about...

Because he would have walked for nothing. Brady is planning to play until he is 45. He is currently still playing at an elite level and you can probably expect him to continue this production for 1 to 2 more years barring injury. Hell he might even make it to 45 although I doubt he will be elite then. Jimmy if I remember correctly was going to be a free agent next year, so to keep him the Patriots would have to pay Stafford money for their backup, that was never going to happen. So they sent him to a team in another conference for picks. Their football people probably are wishing Brady had hit the 38-40 year old wall that most long term QBs hit in production because Jimmy G's play is any indication we could have possibly been looking at 25+ years of the Patriots being the premier team in the league. Like the Favre to Rodgers transition but with the best coaching in the league to back it up. The Darth Belicheck memes would have been real when he won his tenth superbowl while swaddled in his hoody at he ripe old age of whatever the fuck he would be then.

Jimmy G free agent after this season. If he plays next Sunday like the past 4 weeks SF HAS to lock him up long term. We are talking in the neighborhood of 5yrs ~120 million w/ ~40-60 million guaranteed. Or they Have to franchise him. Otherwise, someone else will pay him that, since his body of work -while small - is extremely impressive. He doesn't get franchised there will be AT LEAST 6 teams trying to sign him long term.

If the pats did not trade Jimmy g, they would Have had to pay him (see above amount) or franchise him. And no team wants to pay the backup more than the starter.

The pats would have been forced to franchise him. Jimmy was done being a backup. I doubt he would have signed even a 25m/yr contract if it meant staying on the bench.

So the pats would have either been forced to trade Brady, or had 45-50mil in cap space tied up in one position.

That would be hilarious but I doubt it. Imagine if he went to the Vikings. That would be my favorite time line.

Kraft gave Brady the okay to play till 45. I am glad to see the loyalty since he did get them 5 Superbowl wins but it puts them into a tough spot.

Makes you wonder why they scheduled this game for Christmas, did they actually think the Texans were gonna be good this year? I mean, maybe they would have been with a rookie QB, but that seems like a risky bet.

Maybe this next game will be good, oh the Raiders? Nevermind.
