The O-line affects the quarterback, but the quarterback also affects the O-line. You could see that with the niners this year after Jimmy got here. When you have a QB that reads the field and gets the ball out quickly suddenly the o-line looks a lot better. There have been scrambling QBs that have developed into legit pocket passers, Steve Young is probably the best example but also Ben Roethlisberger. I don't think we've seen that from Wilson yet and I'm not sure it's fair to blame it all on the o-line although that is a factor.

This is sorta true, but the 49ers line (while not great on the inside, tackles are pretty good though) consistently was ranking among the middle 10 (11th-20th) in pass protection while Seattle's line has been bottom 5 for a couple years now.

Look no further than the Pats offensive line, which some games looks dominant and others inept. Bill plugs guys in there out of nowhere, practice squad guys, rookies and yet it's passable because Brady has one of the quickest releases in the league.

Blocking for 1.2 seconds after the snap is a lot easier than maintaining a block on a talented d lineman for 3+ seconds.

When the Pats play teams that play good man coverage and rush 4 they tend to struggle and Brady looks average. That's because his receivers are covered and he is holding the ball. But most of the time the ball is out almost instantly and they win those games and no one talks about the oline.

All you have to do is look at Brady in the two superbowls vs. the Giants. We had in both years arguably the worst LB core in the league, but a top 5 defensive line and corners who preferred to play in man coverage. Funnily enough the four most important pieces for that to work were all retained in 2011 from 2007 - Tuck, Osi, Ross, & Webster. Tuck became the Strahan of 2011 and JPP became the Tuck of 2011, so all the right pieces were in place. Gronk was injured so there was no need to gameplan for him.

This NE team is a little different, though imo. There's not one Wes Welker anymore, there's like fucking 5 of them and then the NFL's biggest matchup nightmare in Gronk. Obviously the main point in regards to pass protection still remains true - get to Brady, you get to the Pats - I just think it's a lot more difficult to cover all these shifty little fuckers than trying to man up a traditional physical wideout in the way the Giants and other teams have in the past.

I mean, either can work. Look at how many sacks/hits/knockdowns Denver had against him couple years ago. I've never seen a QB get hit that much in a game before.

Brady is going to pick apart that Titans defense on a weeks rest, Belichick will shut down the run game and force Mariota to beat them. I mean he did take things into his own hands when he literally became the whole offense throwing and catching his own TD, but he isnt going to do that again, ever. Not only that but there is no way Belichick gets outcoached.

Patriots win 31-13.

The Titans had no business even winning the Chiefs game.

Steelers are going to stomp the Jags, Falcons will beat Eagles, and the Saints will dispatch the Vikings.

I agree with everything but I am not certain with the Vikings. I feel Keenum might be legit and if hes average with that monster defense they might be good.
