Miami approached his mother and I the 2nd day of practices. University of Penn. (Not Penn State) has invited us to come see the campus. Those have been the biggest schools. Delaware, Morgan and some school called Samford gave us their cards.

He wants to play for Harvard (We live in Boston). They have shown zero interest...everyone tells me to just wait until Jr/Sr years.

Hopefully he goes to Miami so we can slowly bend him back to the light side...the aqua and orange light.

In seriousness, congrats to both him and you. I'll pull for the Dolphins to draft him eventually lol. We definitely need LBs.

he is a freshman now or sophmore?

definately if he is getting some interest now, if he continues to improve- and get good grades, i am sure a good school will come a calling...or heck try looking at where Jimmy G and Romo went to school, they have a good program though not "top rated".

Noooo. His DAD get's paid. I need a new Escalade! He can have the Mighty Dodge.

My son had a meh game. Couple tackles for losses. Couple line of scrimmage stops. He was always like a 1/2 second short on his blitzes, but the pressures caused like 2 INT's. Not a good showcase game for him.

He's nowhere a top 25 school IMO.He IS that next tier down though. That's why we were so shocked with the Miami scout approaching. I guess they could use speedy linebackers? I'm still kinda in shock and giddy.

His grades have slipped. The transition from good public school to a great private school was a huge transition. He went from 3.9 to a 3.5. That includes him dropping an honors class.

Anyway!

Means He doing good in school, plus, the difference between public and private schools. Private is always "harder"

3.5 means if he keeps it up and improves football wise some of the better schools might come calling due to his grades to boost the program gpa as well as his play.

Awesome! It sounds like he may not be lined up for an nfl future, unless speedy linebacker means Derrick brooks. But even if he's not nfl qualified, college recruitment might reduce the financial pressure for him you or both.

Regardless, congrats.

I imagine AL is one of the worst states to be busted for weed.

Dude...2500 bucks for bail. They act like he stabbed someone. AND he played at Alabama. There must be a weed passage in the Bible down there that says punish em hard.

Just don't fucking smoke weed for a few years, make your millions, and enjoy the rest of your life. I guess that would require the vast majority of players to not be borderline retarded though.

Atl over Phi - Any defense will get tired from endless three and outs.
NE over Ten - NE has been stunned in the early rounds before. But thanks ESPN for giving them a fake chip on their shoulder.
Pit over Jax - Pit plays down to the level of their opponent, and Jax won this matchup already. Pit remembers this is the playoffs and gets the edge in an ugly game.
Min over NO - On a neutral field, I'd go with NO. In their stadium with an extra week of rest, I go Min. That said, this should be the game of the playoffs.

Nope. You shouldn't even do THAT. It can still fuck you up with the NFL if tested positive.

Yup, he is facing the law and the NFL now. This combined with the 'diluted' sample at the combine.
