The Redskins Cowboys game on Thanksgiving is going to be crap now.

You couldn't be more wrong. Colt McCoy's last victory in a start was Thanksgiving 2014...in Dallas. Alex Smith is conservative and safe while Colt makes every Skins game must see TV rest of the way.

I hope this continues to be true then.

I loved Colt McCoy coming out of Texas. He was always a gamer and played hard.

Alex Smith’s leg injury brings back bad memories for Joe Theismann

Both happened on Nov. 18. Both happened at the 40-yard line. Romeo Crennel was an assistant coach on the opposing sideline of both games. Washington won the 1985 game 23-21; Houston won Sunday’s game 23-21. Theismann finished his season with 301 attempts; Smith entered Sunday’s game with 301 attempts and finished his season with 328.

The problem is that Trubisky isn't really good and tried to hand the game back to the Vikings a couple of times. The sequence where he threw a hospital ball over the middle and then a probable pick six on an out but it seemed to work out anyway sums up his Bears career so far.

I would say he is inconsistent more then not being good. He looked great in the first half and very poor in the second. If he could put together complete games regularly then I'll be happy with him. Or he could end up as Cutler 2.0 where you see the possibility of greatness but he never gets there and he flat out costs you 1-3 games a year.

Not counting this last half he has looked light years better over the last four to five games then he did early in the season. His pre snap adjustments and being actually given the green light to audible are encouraging as well.

Edit:

The final score was also a lot closer then the actual gameplay indicated. Even with the offensive miscues from trubs and Cohen the bears should have won that by two scores if the refs hadn't gifted the Vikings eight points.

I also think some of the second half offensive woes the offense has had is on Nagy. First half against the packers, dolphins, and vikings we are moving the ball at will using the misdirects, bootlegs, and rpo's. Really up tempo and we are getting big leads. Then the second half comes around and the play calling becomes more vanilla. Lots of Jordan H up the gut and pure drop back passing. The coaching staff needs to learn to not let the foot off the gas pedal until the game is over.

The kid is still young, and didn't he only have 1 year of starting in college? Obviously needs to clean up the dicey plays/throws, but that offense is so great for him. Every team that didn't hire McVay or Nagy should be kicking themselves right now.

Yup, only one year in college. Was a big part of the reason why most bears fans were really wary about him when he got drafted. He also had to deal with a year of John fox offense so in a way this is his rookie season when it comes to actually throwing the ball.

Things I dont like about him so far are those couple of boneheaded throws he makes once or twice a game and that he has a bit too much of that looking to run when his first option isn't available mentality.

Things I do like about him is how fast he seems to be progressing, the fact that he actually can run, and turnovers seem to not get in his head.

Devastating day. I don't ironically love Alex Smith. I legit love Alex Smith and will always root for him. I'm just sad.

So that hospital ball looked like he was “trying” to hit him on the seam. Vikes were in a Tampa 2, it was a shit throw into essentially triple coverage.

On that out he was lucky as fuck. As you are right, pick 6.

I wish he would learn to throw it away. Forcing that stuff always ends up bad.

They need to stop running wide with Cohen. He doesn’t have the speed to get outside. Teams are blowing those wide runs up easily.

He ran a 4.42...he isn’t a burner. He is fast and quick, but his speed doesn’t get him to the outside like those plays are designed for.

Those plays are built for guys with speed like Tyreek Hill. He ran some unofficial 4.24’s but his speed is evident on the field.

Vikings had some head scratchers in that game. Its hard enough for a TE to block a DE, when that DE is Khalil Mack you just dont do that. He literally rag dolled Kyle Rudolph with one arm on the play he ended up stripping Cook for the fumble.
