49ers 1st team since 1977 to hold 4 consecutive teams to less than 100 net yards passing.
First half of season is in the books, and they still havent fell off like some have predicted. Scoring 50 is kind of surprising though, almost too good to be true. After they thrash the Cards I think they get handled by Seattle.
Seahawks-49ers game is, by far, going to be the most significant game of the year to date. Not to take it for granted, but assuming both teams handle their business in Week 9 that game will be 7-2 Seahawks vs. 8-0 49ers. SF wins that game and they go to 9-0, up 3 on both 'Hawks and Rams with 1 up in head to head on both. But if Seattle wins they go into their bye only 1 game back of SF with head to head in hand.
49ers have got a very tough schedule the rest of the way (Seattle also, to be fair): Seahawksx2, Rams, Packers, Saints, Ravens combined 36-11. Saints and Packers both probably win at least 13 games given their schedules (bottom half of league in SoS). If the Niners handle business against Falcons and Cardinalsx2 they probably need to go (at worst) split with Seahawks, beat either Packers or Saints, and win one of the other games to get to 13-3 and get a bye.
I also think there is a pretty realistic chance an 11 win team doesn't make the playoffs this year in the NFC (Looking at Rams and Vikings), which my research tells me has only happened once before in the modern Divisional era (2008 Patriots).
