Yea, going for it on 4th down in OT is a totally different animal than during regulation.

Cant blame the Chargers there.

Im shocked at how well newton looks. He was basically washed, lost 8 straight starts, looked absolutely awful. Was released for Teddy Bridgewater....

The Chargers were running all over the Chiefs all night. High probability to get 1 yard.

You miss that 4 and 1 and you lose immediately. Still, you dont get many shots in ot and giving the ball up isnt playing to win

The Chargers D was looking pretty gassed, so giving Mahomes the ball on any yard line is a high percentage you lose. Best way to win is to keep him off the field, have to go for it.

I wonder if everyone getting blown up by injuries is a fallout from the gyms being closed all summer.

No pre season, limited training opportunities, terrible str and conditioning coaches like the 49ers Dustin Perry etc

Has nobody has been able to explain how these millionaires, that use their bodies to make their living, don't have their own gyms in their mansions.

You are telling me that they are all getting injured because Covid shut down the local YMCA? WTF?

Uhhh, ok...

They will be drafting opt out college players in week 9.

It’s not about gyms. It is being able to condition the body for the punishment. That takes training camp and practice.

Maybe....but some injuries just happen. Teddy Bridgewater was a non contact injury at practice. He nearly lost his leg.

Injuries suck.

Yeah the reduced training camps and lack of preseason is probably it. Players usually ease into the season. They were just thrown into full contact full speed football this year without any of that. Has to have a huge impact.

When your choices are go for it on 4th and 1 or give the ball to Patrick Fucking Mahomes in OT, you go for it.
