I assume Rivers is going to the Colts. They could shock us though.I think they feel like they need a QB, though.

I mean I suspect they're working on that. Could be Rivers or Bridgewater or someone and getting a dude like Buckner in a division where the only other decent team is falling on their sword and maybe the best oline in the league has to be somewhat appealing to prospective FA QBs.I think they feel like they need a QB, though.
Well you can't pay everyone and 21 million is a lot.
“Every time Stefon Diggs gets butt hurt he posts some ominous tweet about new beginnings or change,” said @zack_a9. “Then we get report ‘Minnesota has no intention of trading Diggs’ and he posts himself in Vikings uniform hugging a teammate or something. Relax Pats fans, he’s just a drama queen.”
I thought this was fake when my friend texted it to me. Texans are dumb as fuck.
It's not even the dumbest deal they've ever made. I still say that was the Osweiller fiasco.
Was that the one where the browns basically scooped a 2nd from them to take on the rest of Osweiler's contract? Very NHL cap relief feel from that trade.
Yes, I totally get it and I actually really like the move the more I think about it. The reality was they were never going to be able to pay all of those guys, so they kept the cheaper option who proved he can play pretty well, and flipped the other one for the 13th overall pick. They drafted him 7th overall, got 4 years out of him, and now get to pick 13th. Not bad.Exactly this. That's why I think it was a solid deal. Will the line take a hit? Almost certainly. But, I feel like we "paid" the more productive guy(yes, I realize it was only one season, but still) and at a cheaper price. You're staring down the barrel of losing at least one of these guys, you might as well get what value you can.
That's a big contract. Not sure what their plan is. Have 2-3 real expensive guys and a bunch of rookies?Byron Jones to the Dolphins

Who wants to overpay for an over the hill TE?
