But seriously. Despite shutting out the Jets Fitzpatrick still threw 2 mind-bottling INT's, and we didn't convert a single third down all game until Tua came in at the end in garbage time. I'm just really glad this is a smooth transition with a veteran QB that isn't gonna make a scene and will back the kid up the whole way.

Also makes sense to see how he plays so we can address any needs based off that, since we will probably have a high draft pick from the Texans next year.

Edit: Also 4D chess by our coach. Can't have Fitztragic if you bench him before he has a chance to do so. Also, if Tua gets hurt and Fitz comes back in, does that reset to getting Fitzmagic when he usually comes in for an injured starter, or is he in a saved state and picks up where he left off?

Benched him against Dallas after Cleveland had like 300 rushing yards against them? At least you still won. My team would have went bananas this week if Mostert and Jonnu Smith not both gotten hurt in their games. Ridley with cramps after a good 1st half, too.

If you're going to settle for mediocrity, at least roll the dice: You could get Adam Gase, but you could also get a Sean McVay or Mike Vrabel (still time left to prove they can get it done, and can improve, even if you don't think they're good). Andy Reid is the only coach off the top of my head with more than 5 years HC experience that was worth rehiring this century (Carroll had 1 season with the Jets, Belichick had 3-4 with the Browns).

Experience is experience, but nobody is perfect. Experienced people also have flaws, and those flaws are much harder to remove once they're set in their ways for so long.

Doug Marrone is HC of the Jaguars...WHY? Take a chance on an Eric Bienemy, Kris Richards, or Dan Campbell.

The fact Bienemy isn't a head coach yet is insane when you consider the scrubs still with a job. Not sure if Chiefs gave him more money or successor to Reid plans (although I thought Reid said he feels like he has a lot of years left) swayed him to stay...but he's got to be at the top of every list.
