It's funny that Mitch did go to a Pro Bowl. Honestly, though, that's not a bad top 10 overall. Fournette/Davis/Williams maybe not the elite game breakers they were drafted to be, but they're all pretty good players at least.

Sometimes prow bowl gets down to like the 3rd or 4th alternate, with 3 already, you're down to like halfway down the list for the conference.

yeah but if you get stopped, it's an absolute dagger momentum wise. Now even if they score a TD, it's still only a 2 score game (in theory)

Hindsight being 20/20 it's really easy to pick apart drafts after the fact. Jets took Darnold 3rd in 2018, ahead of both Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, and John Wolford (who looked pretty solid week 17 for an injured Goff) went undrafted.
Can't make too much fun of the 2016 draft (Goff #1, Wentz #2) because the year was kind of a bust for QBs.

The offense has barely managed 6 total after that kick. You can’t assume you will get back to the red zone many more timeS. That’s their only chance to close the gap. At best you hold the chiefs to a FG after the half and it negates your long drive.

So much of these unpolished QBs succeeding is about the team they're going to and how they're supported. Mahomes would be good anywhere, sure. But you put lamar jackson on the jets? Decent chance he's struggling.
