I still cannot make myself feel confident about the 2020 season. And pro football is kind of set up to be the best case scenaria as far as pro sports go in some ways (only 16 games, lots of half empty stadiums anyway, decent amount of outdoor games) but in other ways, no (teams are petri dishes, training facilities, etc.). I am having a hard team seeing things gettin up to proper speed. I fear it is going to be a half assed season where the main objective is, compete, do not get injured, make sure you are top shape for 2021 season, when hopefully this shit will all be done. I frankly will probably just check out and only have mild Browns fever.
College sports? I do not see it. (College semesters even happening at all). I just cannot see college sports with roaring, packed crowds, massive tailgating, hundreds of packed bars, marching bands. (I went to school at Penn State -- Go Pedophiles!)
Anyway, I am feeling negative. I hope I am wrong. But these leagues are not convincing me. I am not seeing enough demand to provide anywhere near the usual revenues. Lots of problems. And these seasons, from a team perspective, begin soon. They have to start conditioning. Workouts. Butthen someone gets sick and they have to quarantine. Etc. That is not gonna produce a productive off season either college or pro.
Sorry for length, not feeling hopeful.
