maybe then call Ovie and RG3 and ask for pointers. I heard those 2 been spending a lot of time there
RG3? You could just point out the caps haven't made it past the 2nd round since ovie came into the league.

That's some lack of effort bro.

Yeah you could go there. Brosar RG3 better not be golfing, I'm sure he's not cleared for that. On the other hand Ovie had a hole-in-one the first time he ever played golf...I wish that success extended to the NHL playoffs but Ishad raises a good point. I'd argue on the whole, it's been less about him not showing up and more the rest of the team (although you can lump him in with the rest of the team for this year, even as well as I thought he played for most of the series, 1 goal isn't going to get the job done in 7 games).

But back to Chicago...what did I tell you about the President's Trophy? Guarantees nothing. That said, Chicago can obviously come back in the series, but I think it was huge for Detroit to hold serve at home to go up 3-1. They're in their heads a little bit you'd have to think.

Bro, there's very few things more annoying than being lectured by someone who's city hasnt won a championship in anything since Desert Storm

Yes.. listen to someone who's team has won 1 championship in 40 years. They're far higher on the totem pole than you.

So what? The Red Wings have won more championships then the whole city of Chicago sports combined. (Blackhawks, Cubs, White Sox, Bears.....Red Wings 11 - Chicago everything - 10)

none of it means anything today in terms of whats happening now.

not to put too fine of a point on it but....

bulls - 6 championships
white sox - 3
bears - 9
cubs - 2
hawks - 4

my math isnt as good as it used to be but i think that adds up to 24.

anyways, my comment to merrith was in jest

The Bears have won 9 superbowls? (Unless you're counting before the NFL and AFL merger?)

Yeah I forgot the Bulls.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you can't go discounting old titles. What's the point then? Who knows how the leagues will change going forward? Shit happened, it counts.

also Kings > Wings > Hawks. Get it right. (We're only going back to last year now bros)

Brosar, I'm simply giving you shit, not lecturing you. I pretty much only focus on football/hockey, and in my lifetime the titles in those categories are 3 to 2 in favor of DC. I'd list DC United's titles, but MLS is shit (not that I have a problem with soccer, the league is just shit compared to Euro leagues). Wizards will never match the Bulls haul in my lifetime. Zero chance. I will root for the Nats/Wizards/even Orioles, but I mostly just stick to Skins and Caps.

I predict Hawks will rally and take it to game 7.

Certainly possible. Hawks have a ton of talent and handed the wings the game last night.

If they can get their composure back they can make a go of it. Still pretty confused why Sharp isn't playing center.

Having 2 of the last 3 at home will help if they pull it off. They need to come out and have a strong game 5 though. Detroit has got them completely off their game after Game 1, especially Toews.
