I noticed he got booed anytime he touched the puck, which wasn't that often. Man Shero loaded up for this run...to get swept like that? Bylsma will get fired I think.

Not only that, they loaded up for this year only. With the cap coming down they are not going to be able to re-sign guys and are going to have to trade Malkin next season or be forced to let him walk with no compensation at the end of next season.
Couple this with the Steelers becoming a mediocre NFL team with a average QB/no offense and a Pirates team who won't taste the playoffs during Grimm's existence and we've got a perfect situation for a sports suicide/rebirth. This time next year Grimm will be telling us about the Flyers/Eagles/Phillies and claiming he's always been a Philly guy. Cheesesteaks or bust amirite Mippo 2.0?

a think a team can do a salary amnesty for a player this up coming year. that was discussed on the radio yesterday in boston about their upcoming offseason for thorton and other free agents.

I figure they'll find some way to keep Malkin. They might end up having to come to a decision between Malkin and Letang (who will obviously get a big raise) after next year. The salary cap issue may just be a big deal over the next year or two, then I expect it to go up again by quite a bit to give teams breathing room. How they get from now until then though could be an issue though.
