In case anyone missed it:
First game back after being off for 3 months, and the kid just turned 19 a few weeks ago. 3 points in his first game back, and he was fucking dominant throughout. On the other hand, it was Columbus. I didn't see him go up against Jones much, or at least didn't notice it. But he made Murray and Johnson look like fools a couple times.

Yeah, unfortunately the injury bug really hurt the team this year. I didn't think at the start of the year that they were a playoff team, but I was hoping that they'd be somewhere in the 80 point range by season's end. Assuming they play .500 hockey or a bit better for the rest of the year, that's within reach. Which if anything means they've exceeded my expectations, given how many guys have been out for extended periods. If they can stay healthy next year and pickup a good right shot D in the offseason, they could well do some damage in the playoffs next year. I don't think they truly contend until the 17/18 season, though.

This shit is hilarious to me, but also a bit infuriating. The Toronto hockey media is still SO FUCKING PISSED OFF that the Leafs didn't get McDavid that any chance they get, they shit on the Oilers or McDavid himself. It was pretty rampant over the summer and in to the fall, talk of the Oilers "ruining" him and shit, but that all died down when he started lighting teams up.
So I guess the only thing they have left is to complain about how boring he is in interviews. Seriously? It's surprising that an 18/19 year old kid who has to spend probably an hour a day with a shitload of cameras and microphones shoved in his face and who is under an incredible amount of scrutiny is playing it safe in interviews and trying not to say anything that can be twisted or misconstrued? Get the fuck off it. Crosby to this day is a boring as fuck interview most times, although he does at least smile and joke a bit from time to time. McDavid is getting a bit better at showing some personality and emotion in his interviews, it's been noticeable that past little while.
What the fuck does Bryan Hayes expect from a kid who hasn't played in 3 months? If I ever see that guy walking down the street, I will be hard pressed not to just punch him in the face. His entire demeanor and way of speaking is obnoxious as all hell, regardless of what he's discussing.
