Well looks like Price won't play this season, most likely his career is over. Too bad for him that he was not a competitive team his entire career and didn't get to win a cup.
Him being out for the seasons allowed us to help Calgary though by taking Monahan and a 1st pick for nothing(future consideration). Monahan been injured a lot in last few years and his production has gone down. Maybe if he's healthy again he can produce a little, he's just 27. He is on the last year on his contract, so it's not a huge burden for us. If he does well, we might trade him at deadline for another 1st round pick.
Anyways this cost Montreal nothing so it's totally a win for us.
