McDavid might be one of the best active athletes across all sports, but Zegras might become a bigger star. I can't remember the last time I found an athlete whose immense skill was only matched by his personality. Kid can do no wrong, quickly becoming one of my favorite players.

Call me a salty homer, but I'm starting to dislike the kid with how much it seems that the league is marketing him over other rookies. I get that he's flashy so it makes it easy, it just annoys me.
Seider is playing at the level of a legitimate top defenseman and if he loses the Calder to Zegras I'm going to be irrationally angry.

Yeah, I agree with the Calder stuff. Get ready to be angry, they are definitely pumping Zegras' tires but Seider has made Yzerman look like a genius.

Yeah, Seider doesn't make nearly as many highlight reel plays, but it's so good watching him do all the little things right. He'll break things up in the neutral zone so he doesn't need to make a flashy play in his own end. It's something existing fans can appreciate, but not great for attracting new fans.
It's just damn frustrating.

I love Marchand but that was my thought too. Crosby just stood there next to him doing nothing. Not that I expect anything like that from Crosby, but damn at least get in the guys face or something.

Going to be honest...a gloved punch to the mask and a little messing with him with the stick isn't worth 5+ games. Maybe I'm just old school, but seems like a massive overreaction to it being against a goalie.
This is more the 1-2 games tops for me and probably better handled by Pittsburgh just handling it in game with him (if he wouldn't duck out on fighting someone).

100% agree. Its soft as fuck and suspending him 5+ is a joke. Sure maybe give him 1 game if you must. But that being worth a lengthy suspension over a lot of other shit this season is pathetic. DOPS has been such a joke the last couple seasons.
