FUCK YEAH KRAKEN!
Post season is different. Usually teams have their #1 selected and don't rotate un-necessarily.Analytics point to this being wrong. Goalies undeniably benefit from rest the same as any other person in any other situation. There's a reason you don't see goalies starting 70 games in the regular season anyore. Over the course of the last 10 years, there have been 80 teams that have won at least one playoff round. Of those 80, 58 used the same starting goalie in every playoff game. That includes six Stanley Cup champions and seven runners-up.sinbin.vegas
It's weird. Off the top of my head, Goalie is the only position besides pitchers that do the tandem thing. Tip of the hat to how the league has revamped the expansion draft. Getting teams successful right out of the gate is a better way to grow the sport.Congrats to the Kraken, great boost to a new team to make the playoffs and win.
Sad there won't be anymore Avs games this year, they played hard through the plague of injuries all year for the team.
