I didnt say it would be s success, just that they went with that notion. They expected some 140 pound limp noodle to become a 220 pound hulking piece of ripped muscle in 6 months. Meanwhile the guy was giving interviews mocking the producers. I at least think Matt Smith would try to get in shape and do something about his herman munster face.

Elba's too street for Bond and that's nothing to do with him being black, it's just that he's from the street and it shows when he acts no matter what part he plays. There needs to be some sophistication and refinement in the role and he just doesn't have that at all.

they're really just causing undue anger over this all in the name of Social Justice. do they really even want a black or female Bond? or do they just want to take away a straight white male, pussy slaying Bond? would any of these people even go watch their woke Bond movie? if i thought they were being honest about wanting a diverse spy in the world of 007, then they should be agreeable to a spinoff film featuring their otherkin hero kicking all kinds of patriarchal ass. they could even team up with 007 and fight a common villain. why do they always have to subtract when they want diversity and never add to it?

I mean if people really wanted a female spy movie, the Black Widow movie would have come out 10 years ago when she was at peak popularity. No one would go see a female driven Bond movie other than the SJW thumping women.

Salt was a good female spy movie (my favorite). Atomic Blonde was pretty good too. SJWs are faggots and its not that they want to create but its that they want to destroy.

Not sure how we are supposed to look at the bonds - is there always a 007? or are we to assume that each movie it is the same 007? (like how South Park kids never age). I do not think the film runners have been consistent, because there is at least one later movie (after On Her Majesty's Secret Service) where the movie references Bond's dead wife, but in the vast majority it just never comes up.

Regardless, they already used their SJW card making the new Moneypenny black.

I like Dornan. He's young and has a game vibe.

He can pull off the witty gentleman aesthetic and presentation, no doubt he works on camera, re: bodylanguage and presence-- but I'm not sure he can deliver the lines.

That was what made Brosnan so good. (Sean Connery was another bond that nailed it)

The delivery.

But since Craig's Bond, the delivery isn't as important as it was. Maybe you could polish Dornan up to be a serviceable Bond.

If you remember correctly during Casino Royale there was a lot of controversy surrounding Craig's casting and the franchise anticipated backlash to the performance ahead of time.

A whole dozen of fluff pieces were published about how Craig is the "no nonsense Bond" and the tough guy before the movie even released-- to get people ready.

Craig was never a good traditional Bond. Just a shakeup in typecasting for Bond for whatever facelift they were going for.

If I were to choose an actor that I think could pull off the image of James Bond but still have some youth left in him I would have to go with

I think that Edward George Skrein would make the perfect next Bond. He has plenty of experience with action films and is British. He is well known as an actor and has no problem with physical appearance.
