Won't be too much longer before Apple TV owns the franchise though.
doesn't MGM only own half the rights to bond though?

Is there anyone who doesnt like Brosnan? Goldeneye was awesome. No love for Pierce Brosnan? lol.
How many people love Goldeneye as the movie alone or loved the movie because there was a cool video game made for it.
I had goldeneye on vhs, so i must have seen it at some point, but i have no memory of it.

I liked him as bond but the only movie of his I liked was Goldeneye. The others were super cheese. No love for Pierce Brosnan? lol.
Goldeneye massively reinvigorated a nearly dead franchise. How many people love Goldeneye as the movie alone or loved the movie because there was a cool video game made for it.

HBO played the shit out of the Bond films, Thunderball, For Your Eyes Only and Moonraker especially. they were on almost daily. not sure why on Thunderball. that movie wasnt very good.Goldeneye massively reinvigorated a nearly dead franchise.
Bond movies had come out once a year, or every other year since the beginning.. then A view to a kill 1985 $50,327,960, The Living daylights 1987 $51,185,897, License to Kill in 1989 $34,667,015.
Six years later for Goldeneye in 1995. $106,429,941
Goldeneye was pretty great. We could certainly argue on how well its held up. not much from the 90's really does. some of it does. the dam scene. bungee and plane. sean bean entirely. the tank. as noted. Famke in her prime. great theme song.
First bond movie. no fucking idea. no way it was in theatres. it would have been Dr. No, or something on tv. May have been Octopussy on hbo or something. that would have been about the right time period. can't say I remember how much the older ones were shown on networks or hbo, cinemax, etc before USA got them.
was goldeneye the first one I saw I theatres? I doubt I would have gone to see any of the Dalton ones.
don't remember that trick, this the style cable box we had, but with few channelsby inline filter you mean sticking a piece of paper into the cable box right?
there was a trick, you could watch the pay channels by putting the dial between channels just right. it could take ten minutes of fiddling with it, but at the end you would get free HBO or whatever channel all day, just dont change the fucking dial!don't remember that trick, this the style cable box we had, but with few channels

my uncle was good with electronics and made filters, like the size of fat cigar
i remember watching The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker at the drive-in as a kid.
we got free hbo with an inline filter for years in the 80's. remember getting the new hbo guide was a major highlight of the month

PBS also aired a ton of brit comedy shows during the 70s and 80s. i mean how else would we know about Monty Python, The Goodies, Fawlty Towers, East Enders and Benny Hill? Benny Hill was such a hit here that they imported a lot of stuff including the Paul Hogan Show , years before he did that Crocodile movie.Loving that picture.
Only When I Laugh was a fairly funny British sitcom in the 80s.
I remember the first time I travelled to the States back in '97 and was sitting in a bar in Camp Curry, Yosemite and some random woman says, "I love your Brit humour, Mrs Slocombe and her pussy!"
I was like, how the fuck do these people know about an obscure British comedy programme from the 70s?! You finally answered my question.
that sucks. in the 80's, some people protested and got it removed from my local pbs. think most of them were censored for the most part already.final note about Benny Hill, after they cancelled his show he died alone and penniless, they should have brought him to the US. everyone i knew at school loved that shit.
