Not that the last one was any good, or really any Craig one outside Casino Royal, hack even QoS looks good to the last 2 pathetic attempts that just trashed what "lore" there was worth exploring for bond etc.

I don't completely agree. Skyfall was a great bond movie, going old school like that. I wasn't a fan of the whole torture sequence in Spectre, and how it amounted to a big nothing burger. They set it up as if the entire escape sequence was a dream because the drill fucked with his consciousness, but then .. Oh, it didn't change anything with him and he suddenly went super Saiyan Bond and escaped without any problems.

Skyfall just did and didn’t do the specter thing well, the “bonds past life” thing was this entire shadow area that every movie glossed over for the mythos of Bond and here we are, an entire movie about unraveling it as this big bad org and dude uses his past to…. Play home alone in a shack.

Then yeah the entire “oh just go out the back door, turn on not only aim bot hack but infinite range and infinite damage hack” and then never acknowledge it, never reference it and just lets go bond, you got another movie and a black lady to take over when you get nuked, lets roll set!

It’s the botching of the “over arching Craig timeline plot” that kills the last 3… and in if you just delete those, makes 1 still the best and 2 okay, considering it completely in isolation.

I believe Bryan DePalma is the one that keeps Scarface from getting remade. Read somewhere years ago several different rappers wanted to do it but he said no.

Since the DePalma film is a remake of a 1932 film based on a 1930 book that is now public domain, I am not sure he has a say about anything Scarface.

De Palma's version had the same story beats as the Paul Muni version, but rappers want to snort a mountain of coke and fire machine guns while fucking a smoke show blonde white girl. That stuff only happened in the later version.
