I swapped to a 240 AIO and added 3 additional fans (2 of which I simply salvaged from the AIO that came with the system, although I guess it might make more sense to buy 2 new fans and then sell that 120 AIO) and dropped my idle temp from 40c to 32c and load from 90c and throttling to 67c
I'm using a 240 Artic Freezer II on my 5900x and it still runs kinda hot. Usally 75-85C depending on the game. That combined with the RTX 3080 makes the room really damn hot on extended gaming sessions.

Holy fuck. I was upset I only went with the 240 Galahad instead of the 360, because I was hitting 63-64c under load and felt that was way too hot. Good to know it really isn't that bad.

Typically mine will spike up to around 78-80c immediately after I start a game, but then will quickly drop back down to the high 60s after a minute or 2

I've got a custom loop and at stock, my 5950 will be at ~60c in Cinebench on all core, but 70c+ on single core. Shit makes no sense.

My 3080 is low 30s idling and 50c while gaming.

So something is either up with the 5950 or it's just gonna be hot due to 7nm heat concentration while fully boosting a few cores.

My single cores are usually around 52-54c under load and my package temps are usually around 63-64c on my 5900x.

My 6700XT idles at 29-30c and rarely touches 50c even under load. The cooling on it is insane. It sounds like a jet just landed when it hits 50c and my fan profile kicks in to 50%, but it only lasts about 10 seconds before it drops again.

This is running HZD Benchmark at Ultimate quality and 1440p UW. The temperature in the house is only around 20C today so that took the numbers down a little compared to a hot summer day.

EVGA sent me a notification for a https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=24G-P5-3988-KR too.. FTW Hybrid 3090. I think i'll order it and return the XC3 + Hybrid kit will come to about the same price after I ship them back. It's really not worth it to start a mining farm with them right?
Why the fuck would you return anything in this market? Buy it all, and if you don't need it or want it, then sell it. FB Marketplace offers super easy listings that can skip all the fees and bull shit of eBay.

I'm very lazy. I guess i'll just keep my XC3+hybrid kit, there isn't much upside to going with a standard hybrid model for me.

But I wish I knew if China was going to take their golden opportunity to invade Taiwan while brainless is POTUS and his generals are pushing LGBTQ BS at west point. It could be the last opportunity to buy a high end video card for 5+ years.

If anyone is still waiting for a notify on the FTW hybrid, my sign up was 12/15/2020 6:30:42 PM PT

Yep even in my build it gets to 65 or so but my PC is on 24/7 so the ambient water temp in my loop is usually between 72-78F

Hey mouthbreather, the point is that TAA has better image quality than FSR while being of similar performance.
I'd like to point out that you are missing the 4k native picture. TAA seems to disable depth of field, and the 4k native picture is as blurry on the dress as the FSR picture.
