I might do it if I was in that situation. The new generations are going to be just as shitty to get ahold of. The EVGA queue is just getting to 11 month old orders. I’d mostly be nervous about a 1080 dying unexpectedly and having nothing.

We're a collection of people that grew up having to scrounge money to cobble together our first system. Having to pay 2-3 times the price because a bunch of faggots want to hash some numbers makes us want to wait until the price returns to normal(probably won't).
Prices will stabilize to MSRP but it’s probably always not going to stabilize until the next generation comes out. So new gen comes out, last gen becomes more available and stabilized prices. It’s infuriating but it’s reality.
