One thing I would say without knowing anywhere good to send you in NYC. Spend a little bit of time understanding the subway system unless you have the cash to taxi. It is indispensable to get around and save time for what you want to see.

In Google Maps we trust.

I just typed in my destination and hit the subway option and it would tell me exactly where the subway entrance was, which train to take, and where to get off.
