yeah, i know, this franchise hasnt been for kids since the 80s, which is why it boggles my mind why they wont cater to the Star Wars fans that are still around. but if you ask anyone at Lucasfilm, things are great and young fans and especially non white non straight non males is the wave of the future. maybe it is, but the numbers dont point to that. most of those chicks you see at Star Wars conventions are cosplayers or they're with their boyfriends. Star Wars is really a niche market, just like Doctor Who and Star Trek.

There are premium ads on major cable network TV. I think I even saw one during the NBA finals last night.

Major feature ads.

This has Disney's full throttle support. Money is being spent on it that wasn't spent on Boba Faggot and even the Mandalorian.

i meant the quality of the show isnt up to snuff so they are tossing out the "Star Wars fans are racists" card because they will dismiss the hate as just bigotry. Disney pushes a lot of crap. i saw a million ads for Eternals. the most recent one is Andor and that looks like a bunch of trash.

This show to me is the sort of show that's funny bad more than anything. It's hard to feel much in the way of emotions when all the fight/action scenes are comically incompetent. On top of that, most of the dialog feels straight out of a movie writing for dummies book.

It's not aggressively bad, and I have to say it's better than boba fatt, but not by much. Maybe young mando will show up and save this show too. This show is a huge "meh" to me.

It’ll only be worse next episode, so prepare yourselves for 90% of the episode being Obi-Wan and Leia talking and the remainder being turd sista covering up her murder.

Actually, 50/50 screen time. There’ll be a clause where white patriarchy can’t have majority screen presence.

I also think we’ll be lucky to see more than one force use per episode because we can’t have him being too good despite the fact he could easily have taken all those troopers and inquisitors out.

It's classic racist writing and casting.

Her character and personality is "black". They think that is enough, because for them it is.

If they painted her green like Zoe Saldana in GotG then you don't get woke points for casting a black actress.

If they gave the actress direction then that's probably white men telling a black women what to do and she's already amazingly fierce and strong!

By the way I don't think that Uhura played by Zoe Saldana in Star Trek was anything groundbreaking, she had the same interesting job, the same story prominence and the same decent quality acting as the character had in the 60s. It's not fucking hard.

Blackie no-name saber ninja is actually one of the better parts of this show. At least she's wearing the psycho badge right on her chest and playing the part. I'm gonna have a sigh that parts the heavens if they have her turn out to be a good guy.

its only going to cause problems.

obi-wan and yoda went into hiding, and spent decades doing it. if you think about that at all, its going to hurt their characters a bit. they gave up. so, either you got a tv show about that... or, you have them fighting back. which just begs the question of how they stayed hidden and were thought dead. obi wan going to leia. god that opens up so many problems.. does she get mind wiped? I mean... I guess. I would not put it past a Jedi.
The droids... same?


This could have/should have been something else, and just feature obi wan as a guide to some other character. and not call it Obi-wan.

it does justify the continued manhunt for Kenobo and the other Jedi. if you are unable to find him for 10 years then eventually they give up or its put down as a lower priority. but not only is he still out there, he's an active threat. yeah he did himself no favors for not letting sleeping dogs lie. because ya know thats what he did in the original trilogy. he wasnt perv watching Luke trying to groom him with space toys, he was chilling out in the desert slaying sand woman puss and getting high. it was just luck he ran across Luke in the desert and saved him. its not like he was following Luke on his space Harley looking for his opportunity to spring it on him.

Yeah, I actually agree with Furry. She's the exact kind of impulsive stupid cunt type of force-sensitive that would become a Sith Inquisitor, then try to usurp other Siths, just to prove she's better than the ghetto she came from. And when they give her a redemption arc it's going to be incredibly groan-worthy. Hopefully they don't, and just make her a villain to use in something else like a video game.

The Inquisitors are not Sith. She is almost certainly facing execution for trying to kill the Grand Inquisitor but at the very least she's looking at a whole fuck load of "reconditioning" to fix her obedience problem.

I'm probably giving the writers too much credit, but I think she wants to kill Vader. I don't know if her Kenobi obsession is just a means to that end, or if she genuinely hates him too for having been Anakin's mentor. I think a heroic death is more likely than a full on 'im a good guy now' redemption.
