I mean I hate people complaining about penalties too, but in this case I think it's different. Its not like the rule is even debatable. It makes no sense.

Goalies might as well just start nudging their own net from the moorings on purpose every time a shot is taken.

It's not like he dislodged it right as the shot was being taken. It was well in front of the play. Goalies use the net to push off and it happens. The rule is dumb but Quick wasn't trying to cheat. I'm sure they'll fix that rule by the next Olympics. (That no one cares about since the NHL won't participate).

I thought Canada deserved that win, actually. But it was harder than it should have been. Canada is going to struggle against the U.S. and Russia. No guaranteed medal for Canada in men's hockey this year.

And it's fun to see the Dutch kicking serious butt. They just took 1, 2, 3, 4, in a speedskating event. Awesome.

Canada's front line have not been connecting. Sydney Crosby has only, what, 2 assists? Of their 11 goals, 6 or 7 are from defensemen. If the front line can connect, they'll be a force. In competition like this, it's the teams that can put consistent pressure on the net that win.
