Just started the new season. The show has always been mediocre but I grew up watching Marten/Short with my my dad so it's nice they have a hit the last 5 years or whatever it's been. I get zero laugh out of the show but it's full of cameos ect that are interesting.
Is interesting on the cameos and aging. I hate Streep but it's been 30+ tears since Death becomes her and its fine, but then I can barely recognize Eva Longoria who was cover for magazines 12 years ago. Can't stand her but 32 year difference is solid, her cheeks ugly as always

Just kicking this back up to the top as I am finding this season very enjoyable so far. It has graduated from a 'background watch with the wife' to me actually paying attention. Story has been interesting, characters have been interesting, and even how they shot some of the episodes (found footage episode, 6?) has been fun. Still not a huge fan of Martin Short's character in this, but I think they have toned him down a bit.
If you wrote this off after Season 3 it could be worth giving it a chance.

Binged through the whole show the past few weeks, wife liked it a bit more than me but I found it fine. Its slightly elevated network TV (CSI, Law and Order, etc) that still wallows in NYC and Hollywood mysticism/aura. All the celeb appearances are pretty fun though and its still wild to imagine Meryl Streep in a TV show
Its way better than all the shitty dating shows and romantic shit my wife loves to watch so if you want to binge something with your partner its probably top of the list. 40 episodes (~30 mins) so takes a while to get through it all too.
outside of 3 Amigos I find Martin Short mostly intolerable but surprisingly I liked his performance here, he really dials it down most of the time. Selena Gomez is still nice eye candy but goddamn she can't act lol. Still, I respect her hustle she is a billionaire from ?? makeup or some shit I dunno.
