They would have been being sarcastic though and you didn't pick up on it because of the autism.

Maybe I'm wrong, what do you think of the Syria situation?

I have failed lvl 66 Sekhamas trials as a lvl 70+ Frost Monk three times. It's just pointless as melee. Even with a build that keeps every mob frozen and can kill bosses fairly quickly it's just terrible. Stocked up on honor resist relics, avoided gauntlets and had to keep restocking honour from fountains when possible.

Even on lower level mobs on chalice/hourglass where you need to fight rares, just standing there hitting the bell means you have to soak aoe or ranged attacks.

I got to the second floor boss twice, but there's two - so the bell is never in range to reach both with its shockwave.

Just pointless. Guess I'll try again when I'm 80+ LOL

So I've been using a fairly standard Ice Strike Invoker build with bell, shattering palm and herald of ice for double explosions.

but just bought these two unique rings

Call of the Brotherhood to convert lightning into cold damage

Then Polcirkeln to make shattering happen on chilled enemies as well as frozen. Then added charged staff to buff lightning damage which then gets converted into cold by the first ring.

Chris Chris said so much stupid shit that I really can't keep track of it all

I vaguely recall it getting started when UK got on its soapbox about how they didnt need oil or gas from Russia and then people started posting charts of UK energy rates immediately taking off. This was early on in the war so Chris and like 1-2 people (maybe Maul or Phisey?) retorted with how it was fine because this would starve Russia of money. So then people started posting the freezing Wojak in the cold shower, with his teeth chattering, saying "Take that Putin". After that meme got posted like 100x times, Chris eventually tried "Well i locked my rates in" and then it just kept going. This was like in 2022 so my memory is hazy

I was saying that the UK didn't directly get fuel from Russia so we couldn't be cut off and freeze to death, we do produce oil and gas though not enough and have the capability to extract coal in a crisis.

I acknowledged what would and did happen is increased demand due to Germany entering the markets we drew from and the prices going up.

My "locked in rates" comment was in responce to the cold shower memes, I was just saying that short-medium term I wasn't going to face any personal consequences because my prices wouldn't go up due to my energy contract. I also joked that I live in a coal field so I could start digging lol.

Long term I've had pay rises and government put in price controls, so I'm warm and standard of living has stayed the same other than maybe foreign holidays being way more expensive.

I'm not really saying stupid shit and being called out for it, I'm engaging with angry and/or disingenous people for too long until they find something, usually said in jest or summarised, to nitpick and meme.

Chris Chris , what are you going to do with your daily 20 kg carbon ration?

Maul is spending it to play 20 minutes of video games on his RTX 5090. I think he should spend it on some cheese and bread

Who trialled it? Zero news coverage of this, sounds like fringe nonsense.

Let's say that the government implements this, do you really think that the people wouldn't rebel and the government wouldn't immediately fall? I saw how poorly people followed covid protocols lol.

This is indicative of our conversations though, if I actually post anything decent you change the topic, fishing for something to troll me with.

About about acknowledging what I posted first?

Playing POE2 all day has taken my daily electricity cost from £2 to £3.50+

This is Chris Chris once again being disingenous.

The govt did introduce a price cap but this was as early ago as 2018 under Theresa May, the idea was consumer protection by limiting what suppliers could charge. This was due to a disordered energy market that relied on people taking the initiative to switch suppliers, a big 6 group of suppliers that made it harder for challenger suppliers and people on prepaid meters being charged more etc.

The cap backfired after Ukraine got invaded because it based on the costs of the suppliers, so when wholesale costs spiked so did the price cap and essentially everyones bills were jumping multiple times a year as the cap constantly got raised. This meant that it became pointless to switch suppliers because every companies tariff was essentially the same, and for that reason suppliers stopped accepting transfers of customers.

The whole purpose was to limit the profit margins, but when the wholesale energy cost was effectively limiting profits to zero then the cap had to keep rising.

What the govt ended up doing in 2022 was actually subsidising energy bills via a "guarantee" that hard capped the previous regulatory price cap, but this only lasted six months.

The whole "I've fixed my prices" response is also disingenous because such price fixes don't last indefinitely, and when they expire they give you the option to fix again at a rate in or around e.g slightly hire the current price cap which bakes in some of the forecast price rises at the next price cap review. So you pay slightly more earlier in order to avoid a bigger increase in future.

The reality is for my 1 bed flat I was paying £49 a month for duel fuel in 2017, £42 in 2018, £59 in 2019 then £43 until November 2022 when it went up to £70.82. I am currently paying £90.52 a month and that left me with a debit of £142.11 which I recently had to pay to bring my balance back to zero.

Why are you citing an Australian politician as a reputable source on the UK?

I liked your post, didnt have anything to add and moved on to another topic. I didnt think there was anything left to say.

Seriously though, I dont think there's anything serious for us to discuss. We operate on different levels and the only common level where we might end up meeting each other is lobbin g harmless jokes at each other about our respective countries

Btw, that earlier post of yours just cost you 0.50 kg of carbon credits. 5 posts = 1 slice of cheese.

This is what I'm talking about, I didn't add more detail to an already long post so I'm disingenuous?

I referenced my prices being fixed short-mediun term, yes they have gone up now. The rest, yeah I didn't describe in detail how it all works. Why would I?

Fair enough.

Is your level still, Russian state line exactly, except maybe Putin isn't hard enough on his adversaries?

This is another example of Chris Chris being disingenuous, nowhere in his post did he explicitly refer to having incurred energy price increases. Yet he cries out in pain and protests such comments are unwarranted.

The only things he referenced were

A) him receiving a pay rise

B) a short lived price cap.

Each of the above is intended to make you think he hasn't been affected by price increases when he has

Boy, he sure does hate how much noticing I do
