I've fleshed out the survival/endgame recently. I mean, I'm not sure it's possible. It'll be hard to explain if you don't understand the layout of the world, so I'll try to give you a brief overview:
The world consists 4 major regions. An web of tunnels and underground cities. This is mirrored above by a 'mount Olympus' style ENORMOUS peak, from which a web of currents (for travel - think flight paths) connects to the ground level. The ground level is divided into two segments, a kingdom in the east divided from the west (which is far larger) by an enormous wall. The western region of the 'continent' is wild, contested, unpopulated, and overrun with giant beasts. The world is NOT some miniaturized globe a la Azeroth. It's to scale. The mountain is a mountain.
Basically, the goal of the game is to push out into the wild zone, trying to establish safe and livable areas by pushing back the beasts who have claimed the land. The further west you get, the more difficult and numerous the beasts become. The beasts can only exist where they have spread their influence, so you must destroy them, destroy what is maintaining their existence, and build your own stuff in its place. If undefended, they will over run your fortifications and reclaim the area. The entire area west of the wall is a fully contested, PVP enabled, survival crafting focused tug of war with a PVE enemy.
As players reclaim the wild, they will uncover ancient cities that have been taken that will serve as PVE dungeons. There will also be fast travel nodes (both to the mountain and underground kingdoms) and resources that are only available in this contested area. Basically, the whole 'survival' game will take place here, and it will be very important for groups of players to hold certain areas. Imagine if your guild controlled access to Sebilis by building its fortifications around it and defending it from both PCs and monsters?
Behind the wall, in/on the mountain, and underground, exist the 7 races starting areas and PVE only content (traditional dungeons) for the newbies/bluebies.
It's gonna rock. (If I had money or skill, that is)
