Brad is a fucking genious. He is playing on peoples dreams of working on video games for a living. He is going to get an army of unpaid interns that will actually pay him to try to make this game. These people are drooling over the chance for this to be their big break in the industry. It's fucking brilliant.
Very good point and something people should seriously look at. The excitement level is very high because of this. People believe that they can get into the industry. Brad's intentions are getting the game made. I stated this before but I'll say it again. Getting this game made will bring far more money than this small ball BS.
I hope people don't get hurt in the process. I mean this with the utmost sincerity.

I'm gone a week and all this happens?! Geez... where to even begin.
Ok, Brad... this almost looks like desperation. You're on an island and now you're completely alone. People have built their rafts and chose the sharks over continuing working with you. There has to be a reason, you must address this and instead of trying to convince people to come to your island where disaster has already occurred. Damage control and cleanup is a must. Your reputation is shot and even if I give you the benefit of the doubt that you are just trying to desperately complete your game and create a means of steady income, it is still hurting the genre. One point of enlightenment however is the realization that the current market is completely boring and uninteresting which is why this is even getting any attention. The drama swirling around this game unforatunely appears to be more entertaining than the available MMO's on the market.
Now on to our new KTAM friend. I have no idea your intent. I'm sure it is trying to boost your site and hopefully produce some revenue. I don't know but you really remind me of the guy that Sam roomed with on Transformers 2.

I think about my job, and it's not a mega brain buster, but it requires a bit of industry knowledge and some creativity. I couldn't fathom having my boss tell me that we're taking on a bunch of random volunteers to help complete the next project. The amount of time I'd have to spend holding everyone's hands and reviewing their work (and correcting it) is just not worth it. In the end it would be better if I just did everything by myself.
Imagine having to coordinate a bunch of uninitiated developers with hopes of creating an MMO. Brad will have to spend every waking moment with these people making sure they're not making dick-shaped rocks in Unity.
