Oh man I just got caught up on the train wreck! Sounds like there is trouble in the cult compound.
Just saw this post over there. Guessing Gogo was the straw that broke the cult leader's back!
I liked Laurene the fruitloop's getting upset and locking a thread that was spot on a few days ago with this comment the most:
Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen - Advanced Forum Detail Topic - 3 strikes you're out

I am locking this thread. There is a *LOT* of misinformation that has been posted here. I am trying to get work done. I don't have time to go through 5 pages of misinformation and clean up the dozens of misunderstandings and outright contradictions that have been posted here. Please pretend this thread never existed. Please be patient. We are trying to get the information to you in a clean and concise manner, and these rants, speculations, and incorrect assumptions are not helping. Do you want us to work on the game? Or do you want us to talk to you on the forums all day every day? There aren't enough hours in the day for us to do both. I'm guessing that since many of you pledged money for us to work on the game and to buy tools, assets, and and things that we need to be able to make the game, that you would rather we spend our time working on the game. So I'm closing this thread. Speculating about things you don't know about is not helping, it's taking time away from development when we have to stop and come correct assumptions. And then someone else comes along and quotes the incorrect information and tries to pass it off as fact when it is falsehood. Enough. Let us get our work done please so you can play the game.
Just pure stupid and should be saved for the future to show just how amateur this "group" really is.
It then prompted discussions in another thread and brad responded a few times in it but this one was the more interesting one imo:
Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen - Advanced Forum Detail Topic - Community Manager with people skills?

Threads won't be closed that I'm participating in any more. We also will be more tolerant of criticism as long as it is contructive and the intent behind it to better the game. That said, while I've committed to be posting on the boards more, there were several salient points made, and one is that you don't want us on here all of the time talking about the game; rather, you want us MAKING the game. We also don't need to be dealing with a lot of negativity; rather, we need to be excited about Pantheon and pour our hearts and souls into it. Especially because this is a volunteer team. These people want to make this game, not deal with what they feel is simply negativity or rumor mongering.
Do we need a community manager lead right now? Yes, we do. Please contact me if you are interested and have the required temperment
The other option is to shut down the forums for now and wait until the game is further along in development, mainly because some in the community don't understand the point I made earlier today, that being the game is early on, and while the high level Vision will always be maintained, changes to the game will continue to happen. Again, that's why conventionally developed games don't start putting out a lot of info until they are MUCH closer to release (and, therefore, the chances of changes to the game far less likely to occur).
I'd definitely rather not do this. But to make this work, and to involve all of you in the process, like I've always wanted to do, I think we all need to be more respectful and careful of rumors and such. Ultimately, most of this is my fault for focussing on game dev and planning, and leaving the boards for while, something I am certainly regretting at this point.
So that was cute. They'll be more open and tolerant of criticism and not be locking threads more but its a misdirect that actually they just instead remove the participation of free accounts in the forums and ban those who've paid but were dissenting otherwise. Brad even said he was considering dropping the forums altogether in the same breath.
Classic shyster tactics to misdirect and shift blame. And of course that led to the free account post blocking.
The funny thing is that the main sources of criticism and contention weren't coming from the "free accounts" but from orange and purple names(and I expect more of those accounts to disappear from the forums... the cultists are starting to not even hide their real intentions).
This happening is a good thing though. Why? Because it again is making them turn inward and isolating themselves more(like those cute little davidians and other similar cults did). And it also again adds to the evidence of their nuttery to show to others to steer them away from getting suckered into this mess.
At this rate a month or two from now they'll turtle and remove the forums altogether.
Keep up the good work brad and laurene, you silly swingers!
