Is that shit concept art or something?
Lets be honest. Those 2 works of art probably took her hundreds of attempts to perfect. I want to see the true first draft.Filenames:
FuzzyTroll_concept_1st_draft_by_LaureneWells_7-30-2014
FuzzyTroll_concept_3rd_draft_by_LaureneWells_7-30-2014
Please tell me there's a 2nd draft and maybe 4th and 5th draft out there
So you continue to associate with people who disgust you.I'll be honest, I always try to keep gaming stuff just about gaming and not reveal too much of myself personally or bother anyone else in regards to their personal business. To me, we are just all here to play and discuss games. I don't want perceptions of people and/or opinions to mess with that. To me, regardless of who you are or what you believe, we should be able to talk, laugh, have a good time, and play games together.
With all that being said... I have served as a Student Minister part-time for nearly 10 years. My wife and I were Children Ministry directors for about 4-5 years. I was a worship leader for nearly 10 years and did all of this while being a Technology Director and Advanced Technology Teacher at a public school. I say all of that because as of late, it has been difficult to be involved with a public school and yet be involved in church. I don't know if Sparkling is part of a movement or if this is something that's been underground for years but I think out of the 350-ish we have on average at church, about 20-30 despise me for being in public education and sending my kids to school. I remember even having a new family over for dinner and the lady looking at my wife and saying, "We could be such good friends IF you homeschooled." They wouldn't even let our kids play together. Months down the road, that turns out to be ok and have worked out. Now, i'm not bashing homeschool or that choice or right. Though it does seem to be apart of that "group's" credentials and a requirement. It isn't the only line item on the list either, there's quite a long list. I have two friend's that are homosexual and I love those guys, as a family we eat with them, speak to them when we see them at work, and it infuriates me that we are made to feel as if they are something to be shunned. I can tell you, while I do not agree or does it align with my beliefs, I love them and will always love them regardless what pressures that group makes me feel. (Our church does not support the group's stance either).
Anyway, i'm rambling but people like Sparkling frustrate me to no end. I struggle with this occurring in my hometown but it really saddens me to people everywhere have to deal with these inconsiderate frauds. People will see more of people like Sparkling than they ever will Chris Tomlin, Louie Giglio, or Francis Chan who are all more of what should be representing us in the media at any level.
Sorry.. back to gaming. Excuse my rant and derailing...
We're all religious then, signing into these boards every day, disgusting. So you continue to associate with people who disgust you.
This is why I despise Religion.
AgreeOh we know, we've been saying that since early on into the Kickstarter, many of us were in for at least $500 and pulled out funds because we could foresee that a clusterfuck it was going to be.
Few of us, if anybody WANTED Pantheon to bomb in the very beginning, but it rapidly became apparent that was to be the sole possible outcome.
Big Flex Her "novel" is called Blood Pancakes.... it features Amish Vampires! LOL
I guess it is ok in her eyes to be undead if you are Amish!
I can't get over this Blood Pancakes thing. It's freaking hilarious. Easy to find online, too.Vampiric Blood Pancake reporting in.
And in case anyone missed it earlier, her website is equally hilarious:Laurene Wells lives in Oregon with her husband Ron and 4 children. She homeschools her children during the day and at night she moonlights as the owner of Heaven's Blessings Tiny Zoo, a startup independent game development company. She is producer of the racing game Chariots which was launched in 2008, and the MMORPG Visions currently being developed by an entirely volunteer team. Adding a month of intensive writing to her already packed schedule has added some interesting spice to the flavor of her life since 2010. This year looks to be another daunting challenge! As it should be.
Updates:
I failed NaNoWriMo in 2010 with a story that just didn't have enough plot to take me past a couple thousand words.
But in 2011 I made it! I hit the WINNER Mark on Thanksgiving day with 50001 words! I took a screenshot to prove it. HAHA Story isn't done yet, but I won the challenge! I finished the month with 60,000 words. NOW.... to finish the story!
For 2012: I tried again! I continued work on Blood Pancakes because it STILL was not done. At the start of November I was at 90,000 words with a lot of story left to go! I thought I had enough story here for TWO BOOKS! I won the 2012 challenge with 65,000 new words! All the while homeschooling and working on Visions at the same time.
2013: Yes, I'm doing it again in 2013! I have 171,000 words into my epic story that *still* is not done yet. Marcher Lord Press is publishing book by another author on a related topic so I don't know what chances my book has of ever being published now. But I'm going to try to finish it anyway. When it is done it will be at least a 3 book series. Maybe 4. We'll see. I can't break it up into segments though until the whole story is done so I have to wait and see what happens. I really want to finish this.
Oh yes, I am still developing an MMO and homeschooling my children as well. Life does not stop for me. Just piling it on this month! HERE WE GO!!!

I'm sorry, but you're really not. Your posts here are riddled with grammatical and spelling errors, horrendous and confusing sentence structure, and a seeming inability to not include multiple ellipses in every single post. Perhaps you have a good ability to come up with unique ideas and be creative, I have no idea. But when it comes down to the actual mechanics of writing, you're awful. I'm sorry, but I read that quoted sentence and I just couldn't let it stand. It is that kind of basically delusional thinking that has allowed Pantheon to continue being such a laughing stock, instead of just collapsing in on itself. There are numerous people who have convinced themselves that they are great writers, artists, game designers, world builders etc. and that McQuaid knows his ass from a hole in the ground.I did ask to join the lore team insisting I am a decent writer.
I think everyone's overlooking the fact that she considers home schooling a hobby. So Sparkling is home schooling her kids. How is that not child abuse?
no she does not... I have more threads at my house, but this one shows she does not care about the community... She insulted the community to me directly, when like me they jsut wanted some answers about teleportation among other things. It's because Sparkling has no idea what she's doing. Taking time to hang out with the community indeed slows down production, but when you're building a game with community funding then it becomes a necessary evil (hehe). Even if they didn't run on community money, you can't run your game company like a black box anymore. That's just not how things are done in the social media age.
I didn't want to be that guy. Your honesty shames me Eomer.I'm sorry, but you're really not.
